Help???? Advanced Nutrients

Hey,

Could you guys give me a safe formula (dosage) of advanced nutrients, that I found on the website...Progressive-growth.com...

Here is the dosage that he recommends: ( but it doesnt look very safe,
could someone give me a safe dosing)

i also using AN and im having difficulties finding out wot to add n how much.. i was told to have a look on there site and use there calculator to judge the ammounts..
you just need to remember that you need to half your resivoir size when calculating the charts... ie if your tank is 20 litres you say its 10 litres... this is because the strength of feed calculated at full size of tank would be too strong...

i dont know the proper reason for halfing the size of your tank, im just going by wot others say.. im actually tryin to find this out at present so if i find anything out i will let you know..

Actually you should really, really look at their nutrient calculator before giving bad advice 29menace. It puts out amounts that are half whats on the side of the bottle, depending upon what feeding schedule u set it at, low, moderate, high, etc.

Advanced Nutrients | Hydroponics and Indoor Gardening Systems - Grow Lights, Organic Nutrient Products and more… click on the calculator and you can tweak it however you want, light feedings, medium, heavy, standard/Metric... Etc... trust me I'm using every nutrient in their three part line and stick to the charts..

I put it on light feeding and still only do about 3/4 of what it says, basically juss cause Im cheap and it works fine

Here's my AN formula:

Pure Blend Pro "Grow" for vegging.

Pure Blend Pro "Bloom" for flowering.

Pure Blend Pro "CalMag" additive for flowering.

Haven't had any problems with AN since I started using the above formula.

seaofarjanz....he is not a fan of Advanced Nutrients. That was his reply to a better product for him.

that advanced nutrient calculator is awsome. . it gives you a really good idea of what the feeding schedule should be. . as far as that Progressive growth recepie, i dont think it looks unsafe.. it isnt an outragous amount of nutrient solution. . have you checked out the AN calculator? are you growing hydro? ive had good success following their organic grow schedule. . with iguana juice grow and flower, mother earth tea flower, fulvic and humic acid, sensizym, sweetleaf, organic b and big bud.. i will be using the same nutes very soon, but i will be adding carboload to the mix.

That's actually not a bad idea, really. No matter what nutrients you're using it's usually wise to approach the feeding schedule with a degree of skepticism. After all, there's a lot of variation between strains, lighting equipment, CO2 levels, and so on. You plants may not need as much as some.

Always better to start off light than heavy. It's easier to add more food later than to try to fix burning them.

Yes! Totally bitchy to flush out nutes than it is to start with just a little at a time.

And I've always found that the Advanced Nutrients line is really concentrated, so a little goes a long way.

In a good way, of course.

I've been using the 3 part grow/micro/bloom and Bid Bud. Specifically I give 1 tsp (~1.5Ml I believe) of each G/M/B and 2 tsp of the Big bud per Gallon for the first 2 weeks of flower. Then I bump it up to 1.5 tsp G/M/B and 3 tsp Big Bud for 2 weeks and then for the next two weeks I use the full amount of 2 tsp G/M/B and 4 tsp Big bud. Then I flush and only water for the last two weeks of flower.

I've seen little to no nute burn on my plants using those dosages in Fox farm soil so far. Hope that helps someone, somewhere.

Nice system for you. Advanced Nutrients Big Bud is a staple in my growing plan and it's always nice to hear that others are finding it works well. Have you ever tried anything else?

I thought I used a bunch of supplements.I also use Hammerhead,this is way better than Big bud and the flowers get huge with Hammer Head.I cant tell Big bud does that much,maybe its just me

As someone who really hasn't gotten their grow together - too busy reading all of the advice on the forums - I have to say that this looks pretty intense. I'm curious as to how I might fit all of this into my day, or whether something simpler would work too.

So, I guess my question is whether you need to follow so many steps when you have a tiny little grow plan like I do? Seems like a lot of work for not a lot of yield, doesn't it?

Or am I missing something?

No pro., but IMO, you can do it a lil simpler my man, if your situation is such. I too love AN, but can't/won't purchase their entire product line. I use a very simple formula... Soilless Mix(sphagum. perl.,verm.,dol. lime,mychor,etc.) Adv. Nutrients
Iguana Juice Grow/Bloom, Organic B+, Nirvana, Bud Candy, then Final Phase.
Moderation with the nutes, monitor all of your other variables.. All the Best!!IMO

That's good advice - if the whole thing looks too complicated, simplify it. Just start off with the base nutrients and add a bloom booster, maybe another thing or two. Like Rhino Skin which I recently added to what I've already been using. You don't have to jump straight into the deep end, you can start shallow and wade out slowly.

Speaking of Rhino Skin, that's some cool stuff! My plants are maybe a little shorter and bushier, but the real difference is the strength. The stems are the same thickness but it is waaaaay harder to bend them and instead of feeling like they would snap if bent, they feel like you could tie them like a pretzel without breaking them.

If you're going LST or something like that you might want to take it easy on the Rhino Skin. It could make it too hard to bend them.

AN are the shit - amazing results for veg i use iguana juice and bio grow for flower i use bio bizz bloom, bud candy, big bud, bud blood and mollasses

I started using Rhino skin during my first week of flowering. About two weeks in, one of my pots got knocked off a stack of books, causing the stem to get bet at a nearly 90 degree angle against the wall, right before their bedtime. I secured it with string and a piece of pvc taped to the pot overnight so that it was upright. By morning she was strait up on her own. Its not really a scientific proof, but I'm pretty glad I used rhino skin.
