Help! Cotaledon turning brown

my 2 day old sprout has a brown spot on it's leaf, I'm mysting them everyday and have them under a 70w mh on a 18/6 schedule. am I overreacting or is this normal. Please someone assist before it's too late.

the cotys always turn brown..but its way to soon.. try and carefully touch the brown spot cus mine was the same way and i moved it a little with a needle and it was a part of the seed

No need to mist with all that wet soil. Could be that the droplets on the leaf are being magnified by your lights and frying the leaves. Seedlings don't need to be soaking wet like that. Back off on the watering, cut the misting out totally and they should rebound just fine.

Sounds pretty likely.

Anyone who says miracle grow is good is obviously a liar. Just because a plant will grow in it doesn't mean it is good.

and y isnt it good:::: i hve grown wit it and wit good results: im nt a pro but gttng there'''i knw there are bttr soils for growing mj but mg wrks if u knw how too use it...:roll:

Miracle simply isn't good because on best it is average. I would assume I could get atleast as good of results with the dirt in my back yard mixed with some perlite and a good nute schedule.

The plant may grow in it, but that isn't saying much. It is more or less one of the more successful plants in the world.
