Ok, so the ak48 plant is just starting it's 6th week of flowering, and for the last two weeks leaf tips have burned, and now a few entire fan leaves have turned black and died, and certain fan leaves are turning yellowy beige starting at the tips and going back. What’s the problem and what do i do?? AHH!

Sounds to me like you are just a bit high on the nutes. fan tips burning.
The turning yellow, beige at the tips and going back is normal at this age.

The turning black is what gets me, anyone else?

Thanks for your input cruzer! I was worrying about that too, so two days ago I flushed it. Should I feed only water, or switch to a lower solution of fertilizer?

They don't just turn black, they completely die, but they don't curl, they just turn black and crispy. Is that normal for a fan leaf to die like that?

That's what over fert does. just fries em. if they are far into flowering they should turn goldish yellow like you said, so it sounds like an over fert problem plus the plant leeching all the food out of the leaves to put it into the flowers.

Thank you guys for posting, I think i know whats going on with my plant now. it's an 8 week strain in soil. Other than flushing, is there anything I can do to speed up it's recovery?

Your plant is towards the end of its life cycle.
your at 6 weeks Its done in eight. In soil it takes a week or so to make any difference.

I wouldnt worry about it. Pull off the dead leaf and feed it plain water to finish.

Exactly....there's nothing else that you can do. Do you have any pics to post out of curiosity? I just want to see what you're talking about and what the problem likely WAS so when you start your next one you know what to look out for, or what you might need to change.

Exactly! If your plants are a week or two from finishing, you shouldn't worry about it. Clip off the dead stuff and keep flushing. If you've already flushed a lot and the problem persists, it's probably just the plant using up it's own nutrients making the leaves turn all kinds of funky colors, which is exactly what you want...

This might be more opinion than fact, but as far as I'm concerned, if your leaves are dark, healthy green by week 7 of your flowering cycle, you're doing something wrong and the quality and yield of your harvest will suffer.

Ok, thank you guys for all your advice. Unfortunately I have no camera so i can't post pics, but I'm definately gonna start just trimming off dead leaves, and stick to plain water for the duration.
