Hey all! Thanks for checkin my grow out.
I could use some veteran advice.
I have posted some (late) pics of my very 1st grow. I decided for yeild sake I would try a scrog. I started these sensi star from clone and have been using flora nova bloom from the get go. I moved them into this ebb and flow and am using hygrowmite as a rooting medium. The ph is kept at 5.9 and the temp with the light on is 73.F the humidity is a bit on the high side-72.
I will be placing a small dehumidifier in the room today. I have some concerns with the plants...I think they are very healthy but I think the idea of the scrog has beat me. The foliage has become too thick to keep the weaving up, and I am a bit nervous to mess with them any more...as I beleive they are starting to pre flower. They have been on 12/12 for 1 1/2 weeks. the part ( as you can see) in the front was a little easier to spread the plant because it was a bit further out from direct light. I am worried that i have missed the boat on this grow and that things have gotten out of hand.
I will be also switching to a 750watt today or tomorrow to finish this out.
Any help would be GREATLY appreciated:peace:.
Oh yeah, the ppm is at 1350..i try to lower it to 1200 but theyre eating and using water so im guessing its going up because of that.
The water is on 3 hour cycle for 15min.

Woah... man you really did a job on that screen, haha. Looks like a damn jungle. I'm not really sure what to do. I mean it would be great if you could get all those branches under the screen... even if the bottom is a complete mess, at least thngs aren't getting totally shaded, you kow what I mean.

One thing I wouldn't do is what I did and just rip tons of folliage off. I read a buddy of mine pulls a couple fan leaves a day from each plant during flowering to take away shade and he says it doesn't stress them too much.

Your plants look great by the way... you should be happy about that.

I think you missed the boat on the scrog being perfect, but I think you could still get good out of it.

Maybe even get crazy and tie stuff down. Like use the screen as a base for a bunch of LSTing of those branches sticking way up.

No matter what you are going to be ok... as long as you keep the plants out of the light.

Get back to us about what you are thinking the next move is.

Oh... and you have got to clear out beneath the screen... and get a fan under there... that will help with the humidity. Lots of air movement.

Thinning of things all around will be good.

The plants look good as does your setup.

Here's an idea on how to get your scrog back under control. Just place a second screen (same type) on top of all that over growth - laying the plants down horizontally as you go - and the buds should grow right up through the second screen? :peace:

Hey guys, thank you so much for your replies. I have a pretty nice fan blowing up into the bottom of the screen, and a very nice fan pulling air through the cool tube ( i am very impressed with that). I thought of adding another screen, but then thought of defeating the purpose and kinda in a way creating more issues. I think I am going to try to twist tie the branches that have gotten away, down to the screen. I just worry that things are just so dense and lush that i will be losing good light to the bud sites that have popped up along the screen.
In your opinion, what do you think would happpen if I let it go like this? Believe it or not the back was being woven through too. will the buds on the taller stuff be too heavy? If i do tie stuff down what about the new tops already growing out? So its time to start trimming fan leaves? I planned on doing the underside tomorrow.
Again....THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!! I will be sure to keep everyone posted with pics and posts! happy growing!:peace:

Now there's a thought. You could just a sandwich them all down.. have an inch or 2 between them.

Nice. I like that green cross

Growth is happening FAST. Here are a few pics from today. The magic has begun! This is so relaxing to do!:joint:

So when is it time to stop handling the ladies? Is it alright to keep trying to weave over each other and handling the bud sites?:peace:

In my opinion... if you can move the branches the it is OK to move them. At some point they get really stiff and strong, and the only way to do anything is to 'snap' them. They will still keep going as long as the branch isn't in two. But basically you can mess with them as long as they will let you.

The only damage to bud sites would be rubbing all the trichs off on your fingers. But you shouldn't hurt anything.

i endend up getting things under control....for about a week now they have streched beyond any available space, so im moving on to twist ties.
Switching to 600wHPS this week. Everything seems to be really good, I just thought id do a little picture update.
the pics are not too good this time...trying to hurry. Sorry, there will be more.
