help help please

well i have two plants growing right now. i have kept the light really close about three inches away from tops and the plants continue to strech. i have tried to just keep the light put and the plants grew into the light and burned some leaves..i have a 250 watt HPS light because my grow space is pretty small...i also have a fan in there to keep the air circulating...also i just put them into flowering three days ago and it seems like they quit growing...and help is appreciated...thanks

Plants tend to double in size once you start to flower them. This is normal and differs between strains. Don't be afraid to nip the top of the plant off this will cause the plant to bush out instead of reaching sky high. because the top part of the plant normally distributes a hormone to the rest of the plant hindering their growth. If you stop this hormone then the plant will start to grow outward instead of upward

so i should snip the top of the plant while flowering...cause i was told once you clip they dont grow back...also...where do u cut if u were gonna do that..thanks

i top my plant today and i cut after 2 node and but it in the clones so i can have more plants and my plant i cut the tops off i useing for clones only and then i kill her so i can get like 15-20 clones and start my big grow like i want to mate

pic's? They shouldnt be streatching right underneath a HPS even if it is only a 250. Im thinking they are growing not stretching lol.. But yeh def try topping the plant

They are streching. The plants only have 8 nodes and there is about 3 inches between each. Also im not wanting to clone, so i may just top the plants. Where do you cut though??
