I'm having humidity problems in my flowering room. Usually its stays between 55-60 but now that the plants have gotten quite a bit larger its causing the humidity to spike up to 70 sometimes. It never stays like this for more than 3-4 hours at most, but I am concerned about mold. I have a 198 cmf exausting into my furnace vent (the furnace is turned off) and a turbine style ocsillating fan plus another regular fan on the plants. I have a third fan pushing air into the room as well with a dehumidifer right outside the room that keeps the incoming air at 55. the room is about 8x12. No windows.

Would a spike in humidity like this cause any problems? It's very clean, everything was sanitised beforehand. There is no open water in the room and I syphon the runoff immediately after watering. I'm not sure what to do , other then get a high cmf installed but this is my last option...

The fans blowing over the plants are set on low because they move alot of air over the plants. I'm no sure if its a good idea to have too much air current directed at them while in flower....

Any ideas? Anyone?

you could try a bag of ice with some salt in the de-humidifyr and i dont think you should have any problem with mold as long as it is for a few hrs! ! indica or sativa!!?? mix? fat leaves? skinny? try the bag of ice bout an 1 or 2 after the lights r on!!

Mix of indica and sativa's. 3 weeks into flower. There's alot of foliage, 2 of them are 4.5 feet tall by 3.5 feet wide and I have a haze that's 6 feet. Haze has skinny leaves and the other 2 have fat leaves.

I don't get what you mean by a bag of ice with some salt in the dehumidifer? The only part that comes out is the water collection chamber. Could you please explain?

Ya I can put it in the room but then the basement would get moldy and sucking Mold into room=not good idea :-?

I live in a rainforest so humidity outside is 80+ most of the time. I may just have to buy another humidifier and have one outside the room and one in the room as well to control it...
