Help, I messed up and mixed nutrients Calmag in Overdrive

Like it says, I was rushing, and I accidently poured about 1/8 to 1/4 solo cup of cal mag into my overdrive bottle. Is the overdrive still useable or is it now shot?

Me personally I wouldn't use it. I'm not sure if it would hurt anything or not but I wouldn't want to take the chance in my garden.

Sorry to hear man.... But yea, I wouldn't mess with it either.... Maybe hold on to it, and if you wanna run an experiment when you have time...

My feeling is you would most likely be adding cal mag at the end of a run around the same time as Overdrive right?

Id probably use it. That's just me.

If your running AN's sensi or connoisseur there isn't any need for cal mag supplement too. Base contains enough in it already:)

i am worried because i read about how you aren't supposed to mix concentrated nutrients toget
her because it causes some sort of problem, creates precipitates(sp?) or something like that...

^it happened after i was done mixing everything and i was putting the excess back into the bottle. I didn't feed the plants with the mix.

More Calcium and Magnesium nitrate in a product that already has it = No big deal, no precip.

Drive down the road and take a 20$ bill and throw it out the window. That is what you would be doing if you dump the overdrive. If you know how much cal/mag you're dumped in, calculate it out and use it. Just feed it more diluted. Say half or so.

ok, well too late. i bought a new one. but i still have the old bottle. i guess ill keep it around and use it when i run out. the guy at the hydro shop freaked out when i told him i pour the nutrients into a solo cup, then measure it out from there. Once i am done, if there is still some left in the solo cup, i simply pour it back into the nutrient bottle. He said this will cause mold and fungus to grow inside the nutrients. I find this hard to believe, and i never had a problem over my first 2 grows. What do you guys think? bs?

^ :( unfortunately it was a $48 dollar bill. damn hydro shops.

Its 40 bucks for overdrive why would u risk fucking up a couple hundred dollar plant for a 40$ nutrient? Throw that shit out and get a new one

just mix the ppm the same as you would using one. I mix all my shit together right now im actually using 5 different kinds of nutrients . because I hate the numbers on every bottle .

Actually, it's more like littering a plastic bottle with some salt water in it... unless you can find some other sucker to buy it for 20 bucks.

So we should trash each others nute line? Is this Junior High? Dude likes AN. So why the jiner itch?

I'd tend to agree with the Hydro guy. Life can survive in some of the most hostile places so a nute bottle is not a far stretch. I have once found mould growing on the inside of the cap of a bottle of HG multizyme that I had been careless with.
You are also setting yourself up for cross contamination of your nutes and additives, which you've already managed to do. Just remember that you are likely to forget shit when ur stoned hahaha.
I use syringes to measure out nutes, one for each bottle.

Definetly no need to trash my nutrients selection...im still new to all this and have much to learn. I am only on my second grow, and i have had to do a lot of research on everything. I know a lot of people say that AN is expensive and whatever...i have not had the time to research more about nutrients, but when i do, i am sure i will have a better understanding about everything and i will make different choices based on my new knowledge. But for now, when i see that i could potentially increase yield by adding some "sugar water" ...im gonna give it a shot.

I really only use GH flora micro and flora bloom (lucas formula), plus some calmag.

Is overdrive really not worth it? Are you saying that molasses and water is essentially the same thing? Which would mean that it really isn't doing anything for my plants at all...just the living organisms in the soil? Educate, dont hate.
