if you already own the unit and want to use it, then go for it. however, i would not buy an aerogarden to grow cannabis. there are much more efficient ways of growing it out there..... good luck

well my thing is cheap start up,(55$) nothing that i need to build on my own that could go wrong you know? , also im in a apartment and it wont take up much space in my closet. what would be better

Just remember it gives out "ODOR" when growing. So if you live in an apartment you are gonna have to find out a solution.

Might need to spend a little more to make somthign yourself with lights, carbon filter, homedepot buckets , airstone, airpump, etc.etc. Search up on DIY DWC.

im just saying, is that aerogarden i listed strong enough or do i need the deluxe version? can anyone answer this so i can go ahead and buy it before the deal is gone?

i would just buy a 2 gal bucket or something and go with soil. much easier and cheaper. it's your first grow, so soil is a good place to start.....

i really appreciate everyone's personal opinions and all but if you could just answer my original question i'd appreciate that alot !

Alright, here's the lowdown.

AeroGarden's are great learning tools. They provide new growers with a good amount of hands-on experience, yet they don't quite give you enough room.

Once again, I will suggest checking out www.stealthhydro.com. They have a bubbleponics system that is great for beginners.

If you insist on using the AeroGarden, check out the AG FAQ. Also, look through some others grow journals (including mine). When you buy the AG, you are going to have to supplement it with additional CFLs, aquarium air pump and air stones. You'll wanna take a look at some good hydroponic nutrients, too. The AG nutes will work fine, but with better nutes comes better plants.

If you need more help, hit me up on my thread or PM me if needed. I'll be glad to help.

Also, if you want to get some quality weed from your grow, don't choose lowryders.

Lowryders have a much lower potency and don't compare in yield to other strains. You can achieve any height that you want from any strain through topping, fimming and LST. If you need help picking a good strain to start with, just ask someone.

Of course, this is your choice, so if still want to follow through with a lowryder, by all means, go ahead.:eyesmoke:

generally speaking, the small 3-pod AGs are too small for proper rooting, not to mention smaller reservoir means you'll have to refill it much more often...

definitely better off getting a 6 or 7-pod full-size model. They're all good :)
