hELP! Light stopped turning on

I have a 250w HPS and i have been useing it for 3 months..Today when the timer went on for it to turn on it didnt..The ballast sounds on..the bulb looks fine..i tightened the bulb up and did everything i could what could it be??im 8 weeks into flower and the buds arent quite done yet would hate to harvest early..

even if it comes back on go get a spare bulb to keep on hand if you dont already....
like mygirl said bypass the timer just to make sure...

Yup i even took it off the timer and unplug plug back in and it dont do nuthen..Is there an ighniter or some shit?The ballast sounds on..The bulb looks fine what does a burnt bulb look like...I dont think its the bulb cause it diidnt just randomly go out....

2 big bitches...Ones 6.6 one is 5.5ft..Lots of colas..Northern Lights..dam im not gonna be able to get a bulb till after work..How stressed out does that make the plants?

ive read of other people having light issues like an outage in calif. rolling outages and they turned out fine...

now just cuz you can hear the ballast humming don't mean their nothing wrong with it. i recomend you get a teaster and test the power to the socket be4 spending money on a bulb that might not be the problem.

One of those electrecity testers were its a pen and when you touch something thats suppose to be power the light comes on? i might have one..

you want a ome meter to see if thei is actuly 400wtt going to the socket. if you do it with the pin typ all the reading you are going to get is if their is power to the socket not wtt's.

Your ballast could be junked. Happened when I tried MH. 4 months and a broken ballast. Bulb worked fine. I planted them outdoors... they all got devoured. Life goes on.

ome meter thats wats its called i forgot..Ya i dont have one here but i do have one with my tools at my pops house..I gots to start gettin ready for work i wont be able to fix it for like 8 hours...So hopefully they wont be too fucked up..Should i leave the light on in the room just so they get a little tiny bit of light?

they well be ok in the extra dark. it the extra light hours thats not good for a flowering plant. good luck

no it could be down in the metal part of the bulb where you can't see. shit gets hot and soilder will melt away

Well im on lunch so i borrowed an ome meter from a friend but im not sure how to use it..Its a yellow meter and it has red and black wires that turn into prongs..Does anybody know how to test the light????
