Help me choose my grow lights

Hi All,

I am stuck in death by analysis in choosing lights for a new room.

The room is 2.8 x 2.8 x 2.1m. The plan is to section the room and only use half of the space for plants and the rest for water tanks, shelves and tea brewers etc.

I had placed an order for 2 x HLG-600H Quantum Board LED Kits @ 3000k but there was some issue with my bank and the order was halted. Before I place the order again I wanted to get some expert opinion.

The room will be used mainly for flower but there may be times that I veg under the lights. My budget is $1500 for the lights.

What wouold you guys do considering my use case ?

Regards

ps. I plan to grow 10 plants in 10 gallon containers using supersoil + organics

And don't be stuck. And stick to your decision. You can spend way more than you need to and always change like a millennial with a TV.

What I do know is timber grow lights work and the 315 CMH works. And Dan is the man.

I might do a redwood in my 4 x 4 (Timber) if i were to do it over again but i am brutal too. I really want to try those samsung quantum boards too. It never ends.

Ha ha choices choices.

I like your first plan, HLG 600s
But all the other suggestions are also great.
Its your money, you wont be disappointed with HLG, Timber or CMH

Any of the options posted are great choices-if you're able to manage temps HID is also an option. I run Vero's in my space and they rock. The HLG system would be killer.

Hey Guys,

Thank you for all the feedback. Good to know I'm on the right track.

Sidebar question. Anyone with experience on 3k as a veg and flower light ? Also , is far red augmentation worth the headache ?

I run 3k's on my rig and didn't notice any significant difference. I also added 10%(30w) of xp-e he 660's that I use during 12/12. I don't know if they have any real effect-this is the first grow I'm using them .
