Ok These are about 4 weeks into flower. I know they are not the best but this is my first go as I am a noob. They are in a MG soil (I know this wasnt my best choice, Lesson learned) I started them out in plastic dixie cups then transplanted them into 5qt buckets (slightly opaque, Light penatrated thru them.Lesson learned) Everything was going Great, plants looked great and healthy. I had them on a 18/6 under floros for veg. I put them on a 12/12 under a combo of 6- 23 watt CFL's 2700k a 24" 2 bulb T5 2700k along with 2- 2 bulb T12's at 3000k. My room is approx. 5'x5' and 7' tall. Temp is a constant 75deg and RH is running between 30-50 now. They started to get droopy about a week ago, thought it may be over watering or just not watering enough at one time and frequently watering (lesson learned). I have been waiting for them to dry but they wont dry out, Figure it is locked up or starting to root rot. Any ideas?? My soil Ph is about 5.5 to 6.0 so today I went and picked up some lime and put some into the top 1"-2" of the soil, I assume this will not get down to the plant until I water again? On the plant that was drooping the most I decided to transplant today into a 3.5 gallon pot. When doing so I notice that there was not any root exposed on the outside and there was looked to be green mossy mold on the outside of the dirt. I have not added any nutes since the MG has some in it to begin with and did not want to over do it. So the million dollar question is what in the H@#!! should I do??? Like many I have learned ALOT both from HOURS of reading here and in this first grow. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The first one is 24" tall, the second one is the one I transplanted today and is 18" tall It is the worst one, the leaf color of the first picture isnt that clear it looks just like the second picture. Thanks!!!

their skocked. get some superthrive and apply at 5ml per gal. you can use it until flowering than switch to nitrozyme and apply the same way.

keep the ph at 6.5 for veg and 6.2 for bloom. humidity should be 45% and buy a 4 way meter (moisture, ph, light, ppm)

and no matter what anyone says mg soil is fine just keep track of the ph and adjust when needed.

your a dumbass. i bet you burn 100 dollar bills too huh??

Alright noob.....it's time to start over because if this is what you have @ 4 weeks of flower what are you expecting to have @ 8 weeks or 10 weeks?

What would you suggest? That he waste his time trying to nurse this plant to health and try to yield a couple of grams off the damn thing, OR start all over with a little help and more knowledge (he seems to know more now than he did when he started this one)? If he starts over and we look 4-6 weeks down the road he has new plants ready to flower that are properly sized, perfectly healthy and in good quality soil. A solid nutrient line up and a plan of action, and he'll be using the available light MUCH more efficiently.

But you're right, somehow starting over equates to burning hundred dollar bills.

These fuckin' noobs are following me today just trying to piss me off. ANY experienced grower looking at that plant after 4-5 weeks of flowering, is starting over, dumbass.

your math is wrong obviously not to be mean bro but you need to rethink your set up your plants look under lighted whispy, whorled, under watered and very much near the permanent wilting point if they look like that at four weeks flowering you need to evaluate your enviroment

Thanks for the quick replies.... Weather I start over or nurse these ones back, either way ath the end of the day.... what caused this so I don't go here again is the big question I have????? I am a noob and want to learn. I have spent hundreds of hours on the net trying to learn as much as possible and where I am right now I have not learned how to prevent this problem from reacurring. Thanks

Time to start over.
agree. its 4 weeks into flower and u dont have any buds coming in on one and the other looks just as toasted. get some bag seed for ur next and get better soil or try coco and pick a nute line. try not to mix and match other nutes unless necessary, or at least until u get better at growing and stick to the feeding chart with whatever nute line u go with. get some better lights for flowering. check craigslist for a used 400 watt hps or something along those lines for flowering. cfls are cool for vegging. diff spectums promote diff growth. look for a tent to use too. check ebay. nice 2x4 tent would work perfectly for a closet or corner of the room. oh and post lots of pictures and start a journal. more pictures the easier it is to help a newb out. lol. oh and while ur flowering make sure u have no light leaks. but for reals those plants look super stunted.

I have been looking for a 400w HPS but it will have to wait until after Christmas as funds are a little tight this time of year. I built this room just for Flowering my grow. It has NO light in or out, I have timers for my lights, Meters for Temps and RH, Heater to maintain constant temps, intake vents along with exhaust. It has plenty of head room and I have another room the same size adjacent to it for vegging my plants in. Like I said I have learned ALOT for my first grow and I am sure I will continue to learn as I go. I still have the question as WHERE DID I GO WRONG?? what caused the plants to suddenly droop? and and what can I do to prevent it from happening again?

i honestly think u screwed up with the lighting. if ur rockin a 5x5 box i wouldnt go less than a single 600hps. for the light footprint or at least an 8 bulb 4 foot t5. cfls are awesome for vegging but u need a lot of them. they are great in numbers but not by themselves. and they are not so awesome for flowering unless u have some super bangin lights and awesome strain and some ridiculous knowledge. the color spectrum is off. u need a warmer spectum light like an hps.

Ok, Point taken... I would really like to get a HPS it's just not in the budget right now. You say the color spectrum is off with what I have?? none of my lights are above 3000k they are all between 2700k and 3000k. Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't HPS run in the 2200k to 2700k range?? Also I have another question in regards to light requirements. Is it only the floor space (foot print) that determines this or does the height of the room make a big impact on that also? I understand that lights on top shine down more than up and I would probably loose some of the usable light from my side lighting shining up, how much useable light is lost to the height of the room??? My room is 5'x5' and 7' tall can I place a false wall about 4' tall so to say then my room would be 5'x2.5' will this help lower the foot print of the room to help with light requirements?? Thanks for all the help.

I also just went thru and calculated my "current" light set up. I have a total of 448 Watts (these are actual watts) for a total of 24,800 lumens. All of these are in the 2700k to 3000k range. How much more would be needed?? Thanks!!!

i will agree that the plants are wasting good space , but on the other hand , i would rather see him learn something rather then just starting over.
if we dont figure out what he did wrong then hes gonna do it again. i never learned anything from quitting. all my knowledge is from fuckin up shit for years.

thats root rot from overwatering. when you say they wont dry out , well they have to before there ever gonna grow again. you might have to wait 3 weeks but it will dry.

what have you been feedin with ?

thats how to learn smoke !!! i mean if its purely about the money then start over but like you said you didnt never learn anything (from her).

i would keep them goin just for that reason , because if you do something they will start turnin around an you would probably rather see that then the nugs at this point. (you know what i mean)

your not wrong , you have done your reading an someone else missed somethin. hps is about 2700k on average. hps an your 2700k cfls are the same ..... one is brighter.

the height of the room dont matter if your not usin it all. if those lights are right on top of your girls then thats where you measure.

your workin with about 1000 lumuns per sq foot , 2 to 5000 is recommended for a bright flower room.

you need more light but that is nowhere near the reason for your probs. it looks as if the drainage on your soil is not good an its retaining too much water.

maybe too much food but its hard to tell with the overwatering too.
