HELP, overheating problems with doors closed

im an absolute beginner at growing, but have gained a lot of knowledge through this forum and the internet. but here is my setup. im running 3X150W bloom CFL in soil, the exhoust is a 180m3/h fan. and i have added a second 90m3/h fan to aid the air past the reflectors (what i think is keeping the heat trapped) and it helped a bit.

my plants are healthy but i've recently made the switch to 12/12 (i had to flower early (2½ weeks into veg) because im going away this christmas for vacation)
and i need my growroom to be at a steady 25 celcius ca. but with the growroom doors closed the temps reach the upper 29-30 celcius.
this is beginning to be a problem since the plants have started to smell.

any of you more experienced growers can help me?

TL;DR: growroom is too hot, need help/advice getting it cooler 20161015_191325.jpg 20161015_191332.jpg 20161015_191345.jpg 20161015_191350.jpg

Add couple of fans
yeah thats what i was thinking, but i have a large fan at the bottom (barely visible on the images) and it has pretty good circulation. i want to get 2 or 3 smaller hurricane fans i can place around the box instead of on big one on the bottom. but im on a budget so its a bit hard to acomplish

U should put clip fans in left and right walls or wherever u can to get them to blow air between the plants and the lights

yeah, the plants are moving quite a lot, so i think there is enough airflow. but i will definetly try that, see if it makes a differance

imo: ur reflectors impede the flow of air, I'd remove them as a test,

as I always think air movement is vital, reflectivity is a luxury

still an issue...?

grow sativas

good luck
yeah, i suspected as much. im pretty sure my growroom is too small for those reflectors, and are keeping the heat trapped under them. but the problem is that the reflectors are holding the bulbs and removing them is way too much hassle and will probably shock the plants. im gonna grow these and then rethink my growroom, definetly room for improvement

why sativas? (curious)

yeah you are in veg so use 1 or 2 hoods and a fan .. looks stealthy??? indica would be a better strain . bushier and low profile is the way for that set up.. my sour d is a true sativa and it over 8 ft tall. just now flowering so its gonna stretch to maybe 10 ft.

your in veg you wont shock them they will like the cooler air flow and you will get some stretching to the light but not much . happy growing

Get a 6" inline fan for your exhaust. Blowing warm air around the room won't cool it. Eventually, the room your growbox is in will heat up and you'll have the same problem. You need to vent to the outdoors.

Sativas are more heat tolerant. I used to buy that commercial space deodorizer when I would run 4 plants (Sorry I can't recall the name), worked great. Now I just use a couple of Dollar Store deodorizers since I only run 2 or 3 plants at a time.

I would cut the bottom fold off both sides of those reflectors. Less heat ,more bleed over light. consider tilting the reflectors.

U guys are overreacting cannabis grows in the wild indica and sativas with over 90 to 100 f just fine., They will be ok., Air movement is important since in nature they get plenty to cool down, find a way to exhaust hot air out and intake fresh air, co2 also will help. GL
