ILL GET PICTURES UP LATER ON TODAY, but i have 3, 1-1/2 week old seedlings in generic (non mulchy/sticky) potting soil, with a half cup of worm castings mixed in for nitrogen supplimentation. i just finished a grow with identical soil, identical conditions, with the same strain(blue dream), all 3 turned out wonderful, but these 3, same strain(also blue dream), temps, soil, watering schedule and lighting schedule, are not doing so hot. I havn't started using any nutes cause there so young, but there only like 2 inches tall, on 3rd set of fan leaves, but are really bright green/yellow, Ph is 6.2, damn near perfect, and now the first set of fan leaves have browned and died off, already trimmed em away, and now, (the VERY next day) the tips of the second sets (on all 3) are starting to brown...if i dont do something soon ill have to start over within a 4-5 days..(and that means ordering new seeds and waiting 3 weeks on em, cause these are my last 3) i have NO IDEA what to do...if that6s not a good enough description ill have pics (from cell phone :/) up when my brother gets home. as my cell phone is far past broken.....HELP ME!!!!!! temps are 72-76 F.

well i didnt let it get that bad before i trimmed, and mine aren't light stretched, but aside from that yes

EDIT:: and mine does NOT have those brown/black spots, i have never had insect problem/fungus/mildew, and there are still no signs of them on these plants

yea mine was all stretched (x and the soil got on the plant so thats the little black bug looking spots u might be reffering to. maybe over watering?

alreaddy tested that theory, changed from a every 2 days watering to every 4 days...mad it worse, went to every day...made it worse, so it would seem every 2 days is perfect, so my watering was correct, ive been dealing with this problem since they sprouted, ive just finally realized if i dont get outside help they're gonna die...and soon

one is doing a lil better than the other, and is growing faster, but it has that "male" look to it ya know...the slightly thinner and more jagged leaf fingers that extend out a lil farther(even though its the same strain), i can usually tell by a couple weeks old which are PROBABLY gonna go male/female, and to this day, ive YET to be wrong xD, so i really hope i am this time

oh and i just though those were bug eggs, cause my buddy had a grow a few years back (before he was attached by inch worms) that had a bunch of brown/black spots that he just thought was dirt...turned out they were COCKROACH eggs...that right COCKROACHES, they didnt harm his plants but after they hatched he spent 6 months trying to get the roaches out of his house(garden was outside under his back deck)(had HID suplemental lighting of course, think it was ceramic metal halide or some crazy expensive shit like that )

phase
heres a good pic (not mine) to show its shape(ish) THIS IS NOT MY PHOTO.....THOSE WILL COME LATER THIS EVENING and mine are not light stretched like this

and heres a ling to a pick to show its color http://www.marijuana.com/attachments/429-jpg.10279/

and i know your ALL gonna say its a high PH....ITS NOT, already been through the diagnostics of testing the Ph...its 6.2...right in there for perfect cannabis growth according to Jorge Cervantes....and if you dont know who that is you dont deserve to be a member of this (or any) marijuana forum xD

and to save your self from my insults if you dont know who he is google it before you ask me lol

well, when i got off here yesterday i called my old horticulture teacher cause we stayed contacts after i graduated, and he gave me this advise, dilute 1/3 cup of epsom salt in 1-1/2 gallons of purified water, and give em a good watering, i di, and i didnt check em till bout 5 mins ago, and it would seem that the green is just starting to flow back into the leaves...i just asked my him how to get rid of yellow leaves on tomatoes, xD, and that was the fix he gave me. when i just checked em, it was on of the BIGGEST "well i'll be damned!" moments ive had

i thought there was NO WAY it was something as simple as a Mg deficiency, which apparently it was, because ive never seen a Mg deficiency matasticise as yellowing leaves, but i guess i havn't seen much in my short 22 years xD...still not 100% but i should know by this time tomorrw...CROSS UR FINGERS, if they pull through ill be sure to keep an up-to-date grow journal this time

your soil looks terrible, plus its far too wet and the soil may be to hot for such a young plant.

good luck mate, but at 3 and a half weeks old,and only 2", fuck sorry mate i would have pulled them. they are some seriously stunted plants imho it would be better to start over.

it could be that they are to young to nute and its killing them i would flush like crazy first and see how they respond to that

I will reserve for the actual pics of your issue, but the plant pictured was light starved and overfed and overwatered.

oh and 2700k and 3500k are NO good for veg try geting some 6500k to put in the place of them till flower 476741_480a5fb8502d3324f1ab653391a49586.gif they sell these at walmart for 14 bucks and work great they put out 3000+ lumes and use 65w

Did the epsom salts clear it up?

It seems strange that such a young plant would get any sort of def :-?

As robert says you are also using the wrong colour lights for the seedling/veg stage.

dude, i said clearly in the post that wasnt my plant, just a pic on the web i found that looks similar.
i think i might be having the same issue bro.. where and what kind of epsom salt did u use? ive never really seen any :/
I used walgreens brand generic Epsom Salt...sais magnesium sulfate on the box (milk box style container)

i will post pics tonight guys!!! they are doing SOOOOOOOOOO much better and they are almost fully green now (aside from the lower leaves, but they were almost brown and are now just yellow :D)....but the collest part is this....the one that was doing the worst is now doing the best and was an auto-topper and they have all become un-stunted, i cant believe i kept these babies alive
Auto-Topper: I have only had a few in my carrer, The auto toppers always hit their 3 rd set of leaves and two tops came out of the node instead of one, with NO damage, and NO artificial topping...i will post cell phone pics tonight and start up my grow journal :D (other strains will auto-top at different leaf sets, but the only auto-toppers i have had are from this same strain from the same mid i always choose, cause i have almost all females from this bud (DANKS ass mid, full of seeds but still potent, which leaves me to believe whoever grows it buds out their hermes and sells them as mid, which is great for me cause they appear to just be stress hermes, i.e. Femmed seeds for free :D)

not in my experience, they create stronger stems to support bud yes, and that is goot in a grow where you plant to veg the plants for a while for high yeilds. in a small grow 6500k has the opposite effect you want, its stretches the plants more, they develop think, woody stems, and the leaves are smaller and more veiny
with my 3700k and 3500k i usually get large flat leaves, thinner stems (which are plenty strong enough to support a small plant), and less stretching which equals for bud per square inch, and the more buf you yeild in ANY grow the better...but these are just my experience after only a tiny 8 years of growing the plant

i will never use 6500k in a small enclosure grow, as much as you guys are going to refuse to believe it, if your doing a SMALL grow your gonna want to use 3500k WITH 2700k for Veg, and 2700k alone for budding...trust me, test it out for yourself, your stems will be smaller and your buds and leaves bigger, (do NOT do this if your doing a large cfl grow with plenty of vertical room, if you got the vertical room to do so 6500k for veg all the way)

sources: 8 years CFL experience with small enclosure grows
