Ok, my plants are about 9 days old, in dwc, with out nutes yet. Havent recieved my hardwater micro flora yet in the mail yet. Ok my plants are beggining to turn a little yellow, and my biggest plant is starting to curl. My temps were getting to about 87 degrees as indicated on my thermometer. My water is naturally about 650 ppm(hard) . 400ppm is calcium. I have a fan on them 24/7 on low on rotate. Have plenty of airstones, pulled the light to about 2 feet, intake, exhaust the whole shibang. Now I think it is either lack of nutes, or heat. What do you think? You cant tell from the pics, but they are turning yellowish. But you can see the the curl. I gave them their first really small does of regular nutes, and turned the aircondition on, which will get about high 70s and hopefully they get better. How long will it take them to recover from heat curl? AND Do plants start turning yellow when you dont give them any nutrition? Thanks alot, this is really buggin the crap out of me.

Okay.

They need feeding.

If you don't have the macro yet just feed with the other nuts.

But very week. And this could be a problem at this stage of growth. Regardless of eather the plants can use them or not that is a lot of disolved salts in your water, enough to poison you plants. I would really try and get some better water, even if it's just for this stage of growth.

Seedlings like that, they want a really low does200PPMs max (Correct me if I am wrong.
Temps are also a bit high, you need to sort that.

What sort of light are you using?

yah most of them have roots but not all of them. I already had the flora series including micro, but didnt want to add it because of my hard water, so i ordered hardwater micro. But it has not come in yet , fucking amazon.com sucks!!! I even expediated my order and its been like 8 days with no package. This will be the first and last time i order from them. Well I do have the RO machine from ebay coming soon, so i wont be needing that hardwater micro anyway. But i did add about half a teaspoon of each of the regular nutes into both my rezes last night. I didnt want to add to much, but im sure they will be ok with a small dose. I will check on them in about an hour and see what is up. Does lack of nutes cause them to start turning yellow in 9 days? And im sure the heat caused them to curl a bit cause i had the light a little to close and the roots were a little exposed to the light. But i covered the roots up and picked the light up quite a bit.

Plants will store around 2 weeks worth of nutes, if they've been well fed up to the point that nutes are withdrawn.

You're right- 87F is FAR too hot. You're looking for 24-26C (75.2-78.8F) @ 30-50% RH, If temps run too high, install better ventilation, a cooltube or better yet, both.

If you have not got a nute meter, you need one. Basic bit of kit. Mixing nutes by 'X' teaspoons per volume of water is flying blind. Same for pH metering- medialess methods like DWC are rather sensitive to consistent, correct pH due to exposure of naked roots to nute solns. Where are the nute temps running?

Yea, well i knew that plants have food that should last about 20 days stockpiled. That is why i was waiting for the hardwater nutes. But they are looking alot better now, they are starting to fill in with bright green where the yellow was last night. I dont know if it was the nutes i gave them or, covering the roots, or bringing the light up. Dam. I think it was the nutes. As for the curling, i had the light way to close as suggested buy another member(about 15 inches), and they havent curled or burned anymore since i lifted the light(24 inches). I have everything I need, ppm, thermometer, ph, exhaust, intake, fan(and soon, ro machine). My nute dose moved the ppm up 100ppm. Wich is half of the reccomended dose for seedlings. How long does it take for the curl to go away? Its not that bad, im just really anal about it. Oh yea, and the 2 plants that burned were the only haze skunk that i have in the system. I guess they cant take heat as much as the widows.
