hey, so this is the same plant from the last post... the topping idea worked great and now our plants look beautiful... well except for the widow... I'm posting a pic too of the widow, but we think it's a boy (MOTHER%$@#er) anyway, we were just wondering when we should start to force flower... it's already like 2 and a half months old. growing very slowly. but that was attributed to not enough light although we have roughly 320 watts plus another 60 watt incandescent. any suggestions would be much appreciated. but we don't have the funds to purchase a new light. so, if you have any suggestions that could help us out with what we've got... any way, peek away these are our babies

ps... the little ones the widow, we just topped her today.

muchas gracias.

Don't force it, plant abuse will cause bedwetting, whining, depression, and worst of all send you into the grow forums where you make a complete ass of yourself ,herb doesnt just decide its old enough then start budding, plants are seasonal, outdoors pot will flower when the night {dark cycle} indicates the end of the growing season. Maybe you should read up on it a bit more before you burn the bridge with your smoke connection

Well I have to disagree!! There is nothing wrong with forcing a plant to flower.. Infact I see it's quiet usefull to indoor growers seeing how heights is a big issue for most indoor growers... As long as your plant is a good foot+ tall and has alot of promising nodes for bud development then I would go ahead and switch your timer to 12/12 cause it's almost time to smoke!!

You guys, he must be talking about plants that are already maturing and showing preflowers. He already said they suspect the widow is a male. Unless he's basing his thought its a male on something else. Thats not the same as force flowering before a plant is mature and ready to flower. Which i would advise against. Height is easy to control with topping and lst and your plant takes off flowering right away when you switch to 12/12 instead of wasting a week or 2 forcing itself to mature where its not really vegging anymore but its not really flowering yet either.
