Help Starting a Small Op

Ok guys, i have decided to start a small op for my own personal needs, and to make a lil on the side so i can keep my house(god damn economy...)

I have grown in the past, but had to give em to a buddy of mine to finish, cause i had to get em outa the house...Stupid reasons...

I was only using CFLs, but now i have the money to do this right

I just need some help, and some questions answered, and any help and opinions would be awesome!

First off, I will be growin in my closet. The bottom will be for flowering, and the top of course for clones and veg.

Here are the dimensions of the closet

Bottom L: 4.5ft
W:1'9"
H:4 ft

Top L: 4.5ft
W:1'5"
H: 1'7"

What im wanting to do is be able to have 5 plants flowering, and 5 veggin at the same time, and ill also be using a hydro system, which i will be building myself.

Question 1:
Do i have enough room in the closet for 5 flowering girls? And if so what do you guys thing the yeild would be?

I am also going to be using CFLs for the clones and veggin, and a 400w HPS for Flowering.

In my previous grow, i was using bag seed, and i didnt like having to wait for em to sex, and having the shitty possibility that some could be male.

Question 2:
Im a little, well actually really sketchy about seedbanks. Do they really do what they say? Im just afraid of a scam or getting caught and shit. And if they do it, what would be the best strain for my situation. Something that i can flower 5-6 of at once and fit in the closet. And something that is killer

Im New to growing with hydro, but i have read up on it alot, and i think its alot more effective.

Question 3:
What are some good Nutes for Hydro that have worked wonders for you guys? Veg and Bloom.

I have some ideas for a few hydro systems, and designs for the closet, and can post them if you guys find it interesting to help a new grower.

Thats all i can think of right now, and that gives you guys a good idea of what im workin with, i can post pics of the closet as well.

Im sure ill be able to think of more questions, but im Blitzed right now.

Oh, and another question:

Are feminized seeds guaranteed to be female? Or are there flukes with em?

cant speak for every shop but i bought feminized seeds 5 blueberry, 5 hindu kush , got 4 females 1 dud from bb, got 3 males, 1 retarded female , 1 females from hk

To the first line, veg more than you flower, just flower the best of them. I'd veg 8-10 then flower best 5.

1.) bc northern lights sells a closet kit which might be perfect. I'm sure others make one as well just not familiar with the big ones. Set it up similar to it and you'll be good to go. Flower the babies when they are 8" tall or so and you'll be good to go.

2.) You'd dig snow white from nirvana, that's a killer budder for that size of a space.

3.) advanced nutrients from canada is what I use, I think its the best, others have their thoughts too.

4.) are all seeds females if sold as femals? Most of the time, you get some hermies here and there but for the most part always females. Reputation of the seed bank selling em impacts that I'm sure.

Never bought fem seeds but been havng good luck getting a least 1/2 female out of 10 seeds. Just clone the shit out of your best strains and you will never have to buy seeds again. Using Fox Farm in hydro. Good stuff for the price. Good luck on your grow brother.

you should have room for 5 flowering in that space i think. you have a seperate spot for the veg? fem seeds will save you some time and space, but you should get cloning asap if you have the two spots.. thats your best bet. dont go big with them either, your limited space is a factor, and cfls cant cover large plants easily.

If you flower with a 400HPS keep your closet legnth no longer than 4 ft. I use a 400 watt in a standard 2ft deep closet for my veg and mother plants but in the past I fit about 6 3 gallon pots in that space and flowered some plants. Worked great.
