HELP...SWITCHING TO HYDRO-Clones in coco pucks, rockwool, clay pebbles??

Help me decide what to do please. I have read and read these threads until I am blue in the face; I still am not sure what to do...

I am currently moving over to give hydro a try after many years in soil... Other than cloning in a dwc bubbler, I know very little....

I just got a AeroFlo20 that I dont even really like. I 've put it together and ran it to see how it works mechanically, that's about it. I hate the little 3" net pots. I am going to build a flood (or drip)table(Al B. style) as well. My 12/12 area is 7' x 11' x 7' and I have a couple of veg areas 3' x 7' x 4-5'..... Since in soil I 've been able to harvest once a month, usually 10-12 plants, always being 1.5-3 zips per.

So now to the hydro ideas without disrupting too much on the harvests.
My delimma is this..... I have a whole bunch of rooted cutting right now in coco pucks(same as the jiffy except coco). I need to get them vegging in the 3" pots for the AF20. Can I put the hydoton pebbles in the pots(baskets) and just put the clone pucks on top in a flood/drain table that only floods the rocks?? Will the coco cause me problems down the road?<--I know I dont want it too wet. But would this be a safe way to veg until they're ready for the AF<---I need it to stay in the 12/12 room??

Then for my table I am going to build a 30" x 8' flood/drain or drip table opposite of the AF20 once the first group of girls in it are 30ish days 12/12, and I do the last soil harvest. I want to stay as similar to Al's method as I can except they will spend thier whole 12/12 cycle as a group in the same table if I can work a single res, or split it and run two. So I will still harvest every month.

So do you guys think I can veg for the AF the way I described? Once I get it going I will root right in the clay rocks in net cups.
And I cant find the stuff Al uses for his medium(Fytocell?). I thinking to go rockwool 1"x2"plugs(cuttings) that fit into the 4x4 blocks in a basket(3/4-1gal?) w/hydroton rocks?? or perlite?? then to the veg table and flood how often?--and if I keep it(rockwool) 3/4" above flood?

Is there anything good using the coco?? for this situation?

I 've already purchased Canna Aqua Vega A+B for veg, was planning to run with them through this first run---I 've always used Fox Farm's whole line in soil......my hydro guy recommended Canna.......

If you care for more info on what I am using:
--1000, 600, 400hps...planning to drop the 1000 and 400 and get 3 more 600's.....
--for veg I run a 400MH and 6-10 42watt cfl's
--great inline venting, no scrubber, 12,000btu air when necessary(auto+dehumidifier). Temp stay between 74-80, rh 40-50% 12/12rm

I have heaters(hoping I dont need a chiller) for the res if necessary, bubblers/stones, continuous tri-meter + waterproof pen type(milwaukee) ph, ec/ppm, temp meters......

So do you think my cutting to veg table to the 12/12 room is do-able?

Thanks very much! I spend hours upon hours on here and feel like I know most of you......Thanks again!

..........well, I went and got 5" net baskets and I am going to rinse this hydroton and pH it to 5.5-5.8 and fill the baskets and put the coco discs with rooted cuttings on top. I 'll hand feed until the roots get down a couple of inches before I start flooding table with 1/4 strength nutes, keeping level below the coco........ I guess I 'll just plan to watch it closely to learn how often to flood/drain.......this first run will just be for learning seeings how I really have no use for all of these cuttings<---is why I am only using 5" baskets too..........
Searching for best medium..............
