HELP: When should I harvest

So heres the deal these Herojuana's have been growing for just about 9 weeks. been flushing for the last week.
system: Ebb-N-FLO
Nutes: used Veg+Bloom throughout, liquid koolbloom and MOAB last 2 weeks
Light: 1000w HPS

So theyre supposed to be a 9 week strain, but some of the stigmas are still white as rice still growing, while some are looking really close to done.

Ive been flushing for a week now. how far out am I? what should I do? why is this happening. also the nugs seem to have stragglers (like extra growth on main colas) making the nugs not uniform. Please help.photo (4).jpgphoto.jpgphoto (2).jpgphoto (3).jpg

Look man you need to get yourself a handheld scope, 20x will do, and you can only truly know you're nearing an end by scoping the trichomes. Google "harvesting by trichomes" and you'll find plenty of info. On a soaring high sativa I like to pull them when just 20% of the trichs are amber unless it's a really speedy high than I might take it to like 60% amber to mellow it out. More amber = more body high, mostly milky trichs will be more cerebral.

Thanks for the quick response Grojak,

I have a microscope. thats not the problem the trichs look close to done but its the white stigmas Im concerned about. Ive never seen plants that have long white stigmas like these so Im wondering why and how that can effect my harvest? and why would they not be growing in a uniform fashion.

  • MOAB

MOAB as with all bloom boosters lengthens the flower period, its how it forces the plant to build weight, running the roiots in a near dry condition, giving just hardly enough water for the plant to live will force the plant to finish faster.

thanks Dirty Jerz also for the quick reply,

i was thinking it may have something to do with the MOAB. do you know how long it lengthens the flowering period by any chance? also do you think flushing for another week would be sufficient?
also, i want to stage my harvesst, let the top half finish cut it then let the bottom half finish how should i do the nutes and timing for that?

Ok, the long white/red hairs have absolutely no bearing on ripeness, none, Nada, zip. I have some strains that the hairs are red at 3+ weeks and some that don't turn that red at all at 9 weeks when I harvest them because trichs are done.
