If you don't care about her enough to not grow then she should never know about your grow in the first place, it'll just turn ugly.

Grow autoflowering plants in a safe outdoor spot. Best of both worlds then, still getting to grow, whilst keeping the mrs happy.

1st. problem was you started a grow and lied to her about having it then said go look upstairs and see it. In her house you cheated on her in her mind. Problem is now she is defensive about it and won't backdown. Unless you back off forget about it and stop the grow for a couple months and then start the conversation about how you are having a hard time finding good weed as well as maybe getting ripped off, then almost shot. You need to start over on the mind game and attack it in another way she sees the positives. If she smokes then time will change it if you approach it correctly. Promise no smell (how that will happen) and out of sight (where and what ifs).

In her corner does she have a very conservative family or friend group that visits the house? She would be totally against it if she thinks she would have to keep her buds away because of maybe finding the grow or smelling it. Also let her know this will not be discussed in any format with anyone....period. Even smoking buds. That way no one will ever know. Like sex secrets...Nobody needs to know how she likes it from you and the same with the grow. NO selling period. Have a grow then not again for several months until your stash is low. It'll work but in time.

Lastly, if your fighting and this is being thrown in it is fire starter. She will hold it against you every time.

Just let her start paying for all the pot and smoke twice as much. Then she'll be begging you to grow it.

well a friend of mine was growing outdoors without his wife knowing ( she smoked every now and then) and she found them one day she got mad because she was on probation for shoplifting from a few years earlier. so she called the cops on her own husband!! funny part is the police man that came ask my friend to "walk with him" around the property..guess he was thinking he would just walk out and see it..anyway they walked around about 20-30 min. and the cop not seeing/finding anything was going to leave..then the wife walked out and ask, "did you show him your pot plants" and the cop said no he did not, so she told the cop well come on I'll take you to them...end of story the cop arrested HER for the plants because she knew where they were and had a record.. my friend was not charged with anything..

its really not a big deal IMO, its such a great hobby and i think every smoker knows it SHOULD be legal.. granted she is probably just worried about you guys which you should take into account. my best advice is to try to convince her with your side of the story.
