This is my first time using a RO system and i guess I'm a little confused where i should get my fresh cold water from and where rejected water should go.View attachment 1414507View attachment 1414508View attachment 1414509.....
I was thinking of running a hose from somewhere and using that as the fresh water and i was gonna get some irrigation tubing for the drain and i will run it to the outside trees? I dont know if any of this is right so if someone could please help me out it would be much appreciated!

typically a ro unit will come with a saddle valve to hook to the supply line, and a larger plastic saddle valve for the drain line. If you have these, i believe these are the easiest way to set up the ro. If you do not have them i would go get a saddle valve from home depot and use it to supply the water. The waste water i believe should just go down the drain, as most use so much water to make the ro that for every gallon of clean water you make you get at least a 1/4 to 1/2 gallon (may be able to find out from the manufacturer) waste. So if you put this to your trees you would most likely drown them.
You are using the tank that came with the unit, but that only holds a few gallons of water, if you want to dramatically improve the amount of ro water you have, i would buy a 55 gallon plastic drum and a float valve, use that as your ro res and get a pump and hose to use in the room.

Would you think a hose turn on low would be a sufficient amount of water supply to keep the ro system running....as for the drain...... i believe that the system handles up to 10 gallons a day of fresh water so i guess that would mean that prob about 2-5 gallons would be waste.....I have really really big trees, (pine trees) prob about 15'-25' tall.....would u think that that number watering 2 trees would still be too much?

wow, 10 gallons a day? Not to talk shit but hope you didn't pay too much for it. Any how there should be a pressure requirement for the unit, that small doesn't seem like it would need a lot. If you decide you really want to run the waste (dirty) water to your trees i would make sure any excess water has the ability to flow down the hill away from the trees. Thin about how much you are going to use the unit, are you going to use all 10 gallons everyday or just 1 or 2 a day, that is what waste will truely be based on.
Here is what i would do for your supply, i am a handyman by trade but i will try to make sure my wife could even do this. I would start at the hose bib you intend to hook the hose to, hook a hose to pvc attachment on to it, run 1/2" to 3/4" pvc to where you need to hook the ro unit to, then put a cap or valve (if you need the "hose" for something else.) and a saddle valve that runs to the ro unit. Now you can walk on it, set things on it whatever may happen, it will still be a piece of pvc, not a crushed hose. Just my thought though.

OK cool thanks I'll run down to the home depot here in a bit...as for the ro i didn't pay for it at all...i found it in my garage from my last house before we moved....we have one in the house we live in now that does 50 gallons per day......My reservoir will be the 55 gallon drum (like shown in the pictures above)....I will only need to use 50 gallons every 10 days min. so thats why i dont really have a prob with with low cap per day.
