when you walk out with all that weed you will be busted. if you are seen carrying weed out of your house, you will be busted, responding to that request is jumping from the frying pan to the fryer.

write him a letter back that says:

1) Giving or selling marijuana is illegal. and you are not a criminal, so you cannot oblige. You will also not sell any of your product, it is all for personal use. Harvest comes only once a year, and you dry and store it for the rest of the year. no selling or giving away. <-- Make that point as clear as possible, even if it's not true.

2) You are well within your limits for a patient/caretaker, so you are doing nothing illegal. <---- even if it's not true, cite laws in place in your state, and sound as knowledgeable as possible, just to make his blackmail threat go down the sewer.

3) There is no way he will get any of your product. EVER. nothing he can do, no matter how much he huffs and puffs: no. EVER. <---- that is very important, you will not give him shit. NEVER EVER. and tell him to never contact you again. and if you ever spot him trespassing on your property he will be shot, he has already threatened you and you are not playing games, and that you hope this is the last contact you two will ever have.

You should look for a local NORML chapter and seek advice on what to do now. Get in contact with a lawyer, and work from there. good luck....

If you are within your legal limits of plants then I would take that blackmail letter to the cops and or states attorney office. Blackmailing someone is a federal and state felony. Once you give into blackmail these people continently blackmail your ass. Threatening someone with legal action for a crime (weather the crime is true or not) is a form of tort criminal in nature. Seriously if you are a legal grower tell him to piss off/say you'll hit him up at the end of the harvest and don't (hold on to the letter though). Seriously what this guy is doing is called duress in the form of improper threat because he's forcing you into an offer and agreement through threat of legal action. The law actually protects you from this even if you may or may not have committed said crime (always contact your lawyer first before going to the States attorney office saying someone is blackmailing you for drug production, if you are growing illegally telling the DA you committed a crime will force them to prosecute you for admitting to a crime). Personally I say get your lawyer on the phone.

Now if you aren't within your states limits/are growing illegally (which it seems you are even though you say you aren't) then I'd just harvest early and tell the guy you'll give him the 8 ounces when the harvest is finished. Sell that harvest off ASAP or hold it at a friends house and make sure their is no evidence of your grow op at home. Then tell the dude to go piss off and remind him blackmail is also a crime just as bad as growing weed. Keep the letter (if he call the cops on you just say this dude is fucking crazy and always trying to blackmail m for dumb shit). I think that letter is proof of that.

I know that some of you on here think because I am freaked out my grow is illegal, I assure you it is not. I actually have 6 scripts and only 28 plants. But honestly I would rather not have to deal with law enforcement. I've been such a straight arrow all my life it just feels weird even though I know I'm legit.

I honestly don't like the idea that I'm "being watched" and somebody is snooping around my property. I am just worried about our safety in general. I am a very private person.

Also, even though it is legal by the state of California, we know that the feds feel differently even though I don't think we would be worth their time or effort.

I've lived here in my current residence for about 13 years and just hate the fact that my privacy has been violated!!

They will get nothing from me.

Its simple, what you are doing is legal, what he is doing is illegal(blackmail, illegal marijuana possession). I would go to the cops first, because legal or not if that guy calls the cops they are coming with the idea that you are illegal until you prove it, but if they already know the story when the guy calls your good. I would definitely set out a decoy and buy a cheap camera to record the person that grabs it. And i agree you should put a note explain how you are in your limits and this person is a criminal and they are now on tape and exposed. Simple

My appologies. I did'nt know one person could grow for 5 others. You've got a great thing going there and it's bullshit some dickhead is pulling this shit.

If possible try to set up cams on the garden and front door to see if you can catch a glimpse of the little prick.

After re-reading his note it sounds more a young punk kid trying too hard to come off as an adult. Got any young teenage stoners in the neighborhood? I just cant see an adult talking like he did in the note concidering the circumstances.
