Help With Cloning Plz...

I have been trying to clone like Snoofer in the FAQ...but when I take dome off after 3 days it all goes to hell and everything dries out, then I panic and put it back on....then the plants get soft stems and fall over...

Did a couple without heating pad...this batch I am trying a heating pad and now the ones I pull out dead have a few small roots. I am on day 5 and lost about 60% of them already...

I'm really wondering if dry california weather has made it harder to clone, becuase I did one batch without a heating pad and it worked fine, when there was more humidity.

do you have a rooting agent? are you using rockwool cubes? Leave the dome on for atleat a week and make sure you are spraying them with water daily

Yep Olivia's in rockwool and a heating pad on 10 minutes off 10 minutes...50w flourescent...

They looked beautiful until I took the dome off!!! Through the third day...

This is the first time I am using DutchMaster APS and the 40% that made it look to be rooting...

So it is probably taking the dome off to early, especially with the really low humidity over the past few days (in S. Cal)...

i had the same problem with my first set of clones, wouldn't root. I placed a thick towel under the container with my clones and they rooted(1 and 1/2 weeks). I believe from everything i read it needs heat! try the towel....see if it works......good luck!

Left the dome on past day three and on day six with everything green!!! Looks like pulling the dome off in my low humidity was killing them if they were not already rooted...

that was easy to spot... you can leave tha domes on for extended periods of time, just lift it off everyone otha day or so... like i said i neva had a problem wit my clones... in just water.

also... dont have heavy light on them... put them in a dim spot in your grow room. The reason for this is because when there is less light the plant will put more of its energy to grow roots faster to obtain nutrients from them. If you have them under heavy light the plant will put more of its energy to grow leaves faster to obtain more nutrients from the lights... All and all.... less light = faster root growth!!

i cut the top off coke bottles ,add soil/perlite, get clones , dip in root powder, stick in the soil in the plastic bottle, then place a clear bag over the top, and hold on with a band. dont water, just spray every day, and leave under lites , untill rooted, works every time.
you can also root clones in a cup of water, the roots just come out the bottom of the cutting, if left in water.
yo mental, what kinda soil we talkin??
