Lookin nice. I'd just go with how the trics look, and how you like your smokes effects to be. The hairs will shrink and change when you dry. I like to mix it up in a harvest so you get some good bud for both day and night. One that keeps you going and one that puts you to sleep. So some cloudy and some amber. The blue dream strain is 80 % Sativa and 20% indica. A friend from Cali grew a shit ton of those outdoors, harvested this past October. Its his staple smoke right now but hes almost out. I take it that is the one in the second picture with the skinnier leaves. The rest look like Indicas. Good job bro. Looks like your going to be smoking some good homegrown soon.

hey, most indica Dom strains go for about 8-9 weeks but the best way is to check the trichs with a pocket microscope, I know that this isn't always an option. Those are so good lookin plants, i'd love to see some pics wen you decide to harvest

Oh man, you messed up big time, you just threw away all the energy your plants would of put into the buds as they finished causing them to swell and gain most of their density and mass. I'm sorry to have to tell you that, dont let the mistake get to you.

Now that you've taken off all the energy sources for the bud, you might as well take it now. In the future you might want to leave the energy creating solar panels (leaves) on the plant until you are ready to harvest it. It looks close to done anyway... just dry it and enjoy...

Thx guys I chopped her down this morning, I took the leaves off due to not knowing when she would finish cuz she kept growing but can u enlighten me with the swelling of the buds with the leaves? and some of the white hairs have started to die off n thats nice to know indica.. haha wont be a 15 week flower! WOOT!! and about the mold its been there since winter came around but i been keeping it as controlled as i can spraying and rubbing it seems to help some blah

thats a good guide i should have trimmed after drying but good lessons learned, also me and a buddy of mine were talking about how i still have white hairs n well can nutes sometimes cause continued growth on buds??

No. It would not prolong flowering. The bud swelling is because your plants make and store lots energy in its fan leaves, when the plant is later into flowering it will start taking its stored energy and put it into the buds, thats why its somewhat normal for fan leaves to yellow and die towards the end of flowering.

I think you chop when you have like half amber/cloudy trichs, I'm not positive though

its a bit hard to describe the changes you'll see that will pretty much tell you its done, fortunatley fdd has some pics in his harvest tutorial that show it well.
"we will start with ripeness. most people say to check your trichromes with 30X magnification. i have other ways. when buds are done they look "done". the appearance of the bud changes. the leaves start to hook upwards and become hard and crispy. the calyxes will swell and the hairs will turn brown. you can see a golden tinge to the bud leaves. this is the amber crystals. they start to turn amber on the leaves first.

not ready..........

ready.......

notice the difference? it's pretty easy to see once it occurs."
