Hey RIU I just came back from lowes where I bought a couple CFL's. I saw the 65w and couldent help but to buy it. Its a Bright Effects soft white that ill be usuing for flowering. Its got a kelvin scale of 2700 so I should be alright. The only problem is when I plug it in it gives a flickering effect which doesn't sit right with me. If anybody can help me figure out how to fix this id be verry happy:-P

Some CFL's that you buy are not "flicker free". You will need to buy some that are "flicker free" (should say on the package) think of the lights you bought as the old flouro's that flicker when turned on. Hope this helps.

What type of socket do you have it pluged into, that could be the problem. I have a 65W cfl and it doesnt work if i try to plug it into a regular ligth socket, I bought those adapter sockets you plug in and it works fine, no flicker problem.
