Help with pruning

Hi. I was hoping someone could give me some visual aids for pruning. I just recently began my plant's flowering cycle (12/12). I have not pruned my plants so far except pulling off dead leaves. I did just top one of my plants, and kept the cutting for clone, alone with a couple of cuttings from another plant. I don't even know how to prune-never grew a plant before, much less weed  Anybody got some good before and after pruning pics? Thanks.

Pruning isn't a necessity it just helps depending on your grow. You prune leaves to allow light to the lower nodes of the plant to increase yield. Basically look at where your bud sites are, and look at the amount of light they are getting. If you can remove a leaf, or even half a leaf and open up more light, than thats what you prune.

Be careful though, over pruning will hurt the plant. The plant should maintain 75% of leaves or more. If you rotate your plant and bend it etc. You don't even really need to prune.

Remember, pruning is about getting a maximum of light to the most important part of the plant.

Sorry no pics.

bongsmilie Pruning is more of a personal choice that should be determined based on your space and light, and is usually done early in the plants life, to control height or direct growth in a particular direction.
