Help with seedling issues

Hello all. I have several seedlings that were germed in Jiffy pellets on 5/20 and transplanted into cups of Pro-Mix HP and given RO water only, some on the 23rd and others the 24th. The group from the 24th is developing it's first set of serrated leaves and the tips are white as can be. The vein down the middle of the leaf is green, but not the rest of the leaf. Any ideas as to what may be causing this? I've never given nutes this early.

Thanks and happy growing. I'm sorry for the lack of pics...

that's a new one on me. is it only the tip of the leaf that is white, or the whole leaf except for a green vein?

lack of green makes me think lack of chlorophyll but that's stupid. :)

i hate the pellets and only use rock wool these days. more forgiving IMO.
good luck.

I would guess disease or bad genes.
Second guess would be light bleaching. Are they in sun or intense light?

It may relate...or not...\
...I had some corn plants come up white....it was genetic. And they didn't prosper. No chlorophyll. Looked like big variegated spider plants or dracaena..

Never used hp pro mix but my guess would be it might be too hot for young seedlings?? I use fox farm light warrior to start nute sensitive strains......without pics it is kind of hard to diagnose but that would be my first guess good luck.....

The perimeter of the leaves are white and those plants exhibiting this trait are growing slower than the others. I am not liking the pellets recently...

Maybe bad genes/beans. I have them about 18" from a 4' T5 fixture with 4 bulbs. Some of the seedlings look fine so I don't think it's the lights.

It's a soiless medium with mycorrhizae and lime, no nutes. I think I'll hit them with some light nutrients and see how they take it.

Thanks for the replies and help fellas!
