Help with type of vero 29 and driver

Hi all!

I need some help, i want to run 12 vero 29 gen7 for 1,2m x 1,2m.

I want to run at 50w each.

I need help to choose the model of vero, 3000k, 80 or 90 cri?, 38v/50v or 70v?

And need aome help to find some drivers, but first need to know the vero type..

D version are the best performers
3000k is my preference to date
Both 80 or 90 cri work well. Mix them both up since you can.

Drivers I am going to stay out of because I use cheapo chinese ones instead of the meanwells. With the D you need about 800ma to get them to run at 50w.

It depends on how much you want to spend. The higher the voltage, the less current you need to run them at 50W.

70 volt are the most efficient but they cost more. 50V version is a good compromise on price / performance.

Are you using this light to Veg and Flower? If so go 3500 / 80 or if flower only go 3000 / 90.

You cannot choose your driver until you decide on your budget and chips.

3000/90 would be a wise choice

If I could redo my diy cob build, i would've used 72v vero's 3000k for my flower tent

To control the W of cobs need a dimmer no? It's hard to install? Or have any drivers with dimmer integrated?

I think i wont change the "ma" but never know, so don't know if can find any driver with integrated dimmer

All decent drivers have dimming. Some with a pot that you wire up to 3 cables on the driver and some have a small internal screw that dims it. The pots are simple to install you just connect them to the dimming wires.

SE version of the Veros have push in connectors. They save a lot of time when building but otherwise the chips are the same.

Hi! Thanks for the fast reply! I think i will go to Search any driver with the internal screws, but it's easy to know at what "ma" is the driver runing? Or i will need to buy any current meter??

You have chosen the B voltage veros which are the 50V version so for 50 watts you want to run them at 1050mA.

Most people here use Meanwell drivers.

for a single driver only hlg-600h-48A or hlg-600h-54B can do what you want

you can do it in series with two hlg-320h-1050 but you'll be over 300V which is getting up there

Finally have te cobs at home.. Still searching the driver.

I found this one:
Hlg-240h-1050A( i think the A model comes with dimmer?), i must use 3 of this drivers... It's a good option? I had think to do 3 bars with 4 veros each.

Is good idea to Run the model of vero what i choosed at 1050mA?

Need some help please nhave only 7 days to change the cobs, if not the best model to run like i want, wich is the best model to run at 50w?

70V more efficient. At 1050mA VeroB = 52W, 172l/w. VeroC = 70W 180l/w
