i watched at least 8 vids on how to top your plant for maximum yeild. and still do not under stand how to get the 4 to 6 main heads on a plant. help please

i say tye it down and dnc cut anything but basiclly when you pinch out a growing top the 2 side shoots at that node will take over then you got 2 tops wait till thes grow a nodeor 2 and pinch them out and you will have those 2 on each top grow out giving you 4 tops but unless yer growing a lot of plants lst them bitches

you get 4 to 6 main colas just by topping once. the topped stem produces two buds and you've slowed down the main stem enough for 2 to 4 side branches to catch up.

lst them bitches https://www.rollitup.org/view.php?pg=faq&cmd=article&id=685 you will get way more yeild and way mor tops by low stress training and you guessed it less stress. its a lot of work if you are growin a lot of plants so in that case i would top but if you only got a few plants then lst is the way to go

and yea d-rat is sayin that when you cut it once it gives the lower branches time to catch up thus guving you the tops your looking for, at least thats how i interpreted it

If ya lst them (low stress training) All your branches will be main colas. Top a plant ya could end up with 6 branches with a cola on the top. Dnt top them and lst them ya could get 10 or 19 or 22 branches with a cola on the end.

has anyone ever done any of these operations to the strain top44? because i wanna know how the plant will handle it... and why is it over rated?

im with you dude the f'ing videos dont help i need an old timer just to come to my house and grow for me. ill set him up in my closet for room and board. naw i do need to learn how to top my plant so i can too yeild more when that time comes.

never grown top 44 but i bet when ya tye it dwn all the way around yer pot all the nodes will shoot up 2 branches which will turn into nice colas

well i put the lst growfaq link up there for him to see and that picture alone should explain it all

after the plants i got goin now are done im gonna make a good lst jornal but not post it til its done so all the info is there and not spread over 50 pages cause ya know the ol dnt post till ya see the happy plumber thing only works when yer staff and can remove stupid posts of ppl that dnt listen

yea i do it evry time i grow too, well most of the time, i just got done a 9or10 month bout with hydro was gonna try the hydro and scrog thing but i decided to put away the hydro for a bit and get dirty for awile i have my 2 old mothers flowering now ther both like 12 months old and kinda lst'd but well you know how it is, oddlyshaped and just plain strange looking

saw where i guy on another site got 1 pound off one plant under 400w, i think it was actually scrog but its kinda the same idea of keeping the canopy even i do 2 at a time and pull like 8-10 oz.
