I am 2 1/2 weeks into flowering some indoor plants that are about 3 ft tall and never got around to trimming up and lollipopping the branches. One of my friends told me its too late to trim the plants up now because if I do they will all go into shock so bad that they may either die or take a severe loss in final yield....another told me that I can slowly day by day trim off the the spots not getting hit by the light and they wont go into shock...but i dont truly trust either of them so im asking for roll it up nations help here. thanks guys.

Seriously your friends said that...here's the rule don't take more than 30 % of the green leafs. And if the leafs are mostly yellow or brown cut them. The plant is using energy to keep them alive and not build large top buds. I personal trim twice once at two weeks and once a week before harvest. Just my two pennies.

If you have dead/dying leaves, get rid of them. A little yellow and I would leave them. Basically if the leaf looks dead and breaks off easily, take it off because it's doing more harm than good because the plant is still trying to keep it alive. Rather want that "energy" focused elsewhere, such as in buds or maintaining healthy leaves. Dead leaves will be dropped by the plant eventually, may as well help her out. Makes sense right?

I trim up bottom or lollipop At end of week three ( Im on 8 week sch.) They turn out awesome and I get higher yields. My plants grow from 18/24 inches (week#1) to 6-7 feet tall by 8 weeks. They apprieciate the trim job...They smile @ me.LOL Happy growing :peace:
