ok so i have about 10 plants that are currently about 4 1/2 weeks old.... they are about 5-6 inches tall, have about 6 nodes already and are developing the side branches..... i have a 600w mh and two 23w cfl....... have home made exhaust going and have home made cold air being forced into my room which is about 5x5x10..... they have been in 12/12 for the past 1 1/2 and i am stumped for the next step???? any advice?? also its random bagseed but from some very very potent hyudroponics....

it takes em about two weeks to transition to the new light schedule and go about their business...

just leave em alone if i understood the question....minimal duties....

is it too soon to switch to 12/12 and also i dont have any height restrictions at all so the only reason im doin 12/12 is to find out if males or females and also once i do that i cant decide on switchin them back to veg and gettin em bigger or if i wanna just flower now and start over and do hydroponics......

kay...i might get a better idea what you mean by then...they just root bound or something?

almost starting to sound like they are stuffed in tiny pots in a cold place....that'll slow em down real good

they are in smaller pots i took a two liter and cut off the tops so they are deep just not very wide..... as far as it being to cold in there i dont think that is the case as its like 85-90 in the room im treyin to figure out how to cool the room without coming out my pocket as much... i know it cost to grow but you can minumize costs..... when they are root bound how much growth does that cut down?

all of it really....the plant is only as good as it's roots
think of it as going on a 3k run...would you like nice roomy running shoes, or some tiny solid cement loafers...how far would you get in each?

if you see roots curling up in circles at the wall/bottom of the pot they need more room or that's about as good as they get...assuming soil of course
it all goes downhill once they attempt to flower...a real pain in the ass from what i've seen from the misfortunes of others mind you

i don't really know for sure...all the water it's going through and the lack of vigor sure sounds like angry roots to me
