Help!!

A few questions..

If you are growing in veg. phase in a drip system that has a 3 gallon resoirvoir and you are using clay pellets as a growing medium, how often would you recomment turning on the pump? I know about overwater/underwatering with soil, but not hydro.

My light is a 400W mH that is on 22 or so hours a day. How far should the light be?

I finally adjusted my pH to 5.6 and my nutrients arent locking up but i still have some concerns

u should use 18/6 for vegging... or 20/4.. why 22/2 ??

u could put ur 400w mh at 1 feet away from plants

well there is a fan clipped and blowing right at the light itself, and a large fan that pushes the air out of the room, and i tried to put the back of my hand under the lamp. it doesnt get too hot unless youre inches from it. but about 6''-a foot its just a little warm. i have central air so it basically has a fan running that air all around the house(kinda sucks cuz its gettin warm)

also, if i have been using 22/2 or even 24, is it ok to adjust it to 18/6?

do you know anything about watering hydro?
