So I harvested 10 brf cakes a few days ago. I since have dunked for about 20 hours and put back in my sgfc. I've noticed today about 24 hours after I placed back in the fruiting chamber that my cakes are getting a orange hue to them. I can't find any information about an orange contam but idk what this could be. It doesn't come off with a cue tip. It doesn't smell at all. The only smell is of fresh mushrooms. Do I need to be worried or is this like the healing of bruising or something?

I woulda tossed em the second I saw orange.. That's just me. No cake is worth the issues that could arise from having that growing in your house.

Yeah I understand but they're also starting to fruit again. They are in a area that's completely quarantined. Plus I can't find any kind of mold or anything that is orange. I dont see need to panic and throw em away just yet. Especially BC its not growing on the cake the cake just has a hue on em where they were previously bruised

My phone takes terrible pictures so I haven't bothered. Seems like the color is fading and their still fruiting so I think their okay

let us know, pic if possible, could have been the lighting, but mycelium should be pure white unless the cakes are fruiting/pinning.
