Helppp guys this is my first grow and I decided to just germinate my seeds and let it sprout in the soil.... So I put the seeds and then I wet the soil till water came down the cup.... Was that a problem?!?!? Because I don't see any sprout or anything and it's been over 60 hours what should I do?!? I put up a grow journal

I like to use the shot glass method to gem my seeds, but if you've put it straight into soil then it can take a week or so til you see it sprout

how big is the cup does it have holes in the bottom for drainage? you do need to soak the soil before planting but I do this after germ

60 hours is nothing if you planted directly in soil. You shouldn't let the soil dry out when planting directly in soil, but at the same time if overwater the soil, the seed will drown and become soggy and worthless. If your really worried, which it sounds like you are, you can VERY CAREFULLY, excavate your seed from the soil with a toothpick or some other instrument by uncovering small layers of soil until you see your seed. Once you see the seed, dig around it first and try and spot the root. If the seed is not too firmly rooted, take the seed out, and transplant it into soil that is damp but not saturated. Try very hard not to touch the root with anything but air because it will cause transplant shock. Goodluck

They should be in a warm dark place until they sprout. But in soil i think you can stick them under the light. I would make 20/4 for now. but honestly, you should be fine if you do nothing, besides not overwatering your plants anymore ;)

As Ace Ventura said, "wait longer!". Moist is good but wet is bad. As long as you have holes for drainage you should be fine by keeping it moist. Also if you're using a light they need very little right now so don't overdo it or you could burn them up.

I prefer the paper towel method. Take 5 PT's and put them on a ceramic plate. Use scissors and cut the towels to size. Moisten towels with distilled water and place seeds on towel. Repeat with 5 more towels and place on top making a PT seed sandwich so to speak Place another plate of the same size on top to make a "saucer". Slide plates into a zip lock storage bag and place somewhere warm and dark. Mine usually pop in 1-3 days depending on strain and are ready for soil once the root is about 3/4 - 1" long.

I wouldn't worry and I probably wouldn't disturb them. Given they are in moist soil they should pop.... A weak light source might be good in case they are a little deep to give the sprout a little guidance.

It could, I wouldn't worry just yet. Just keep them warm and moist and give them a weak light source. You could dig them out if you wanted but I never like the idea of that for fear of your same concerns. As long as they're not much deeper than 1 cm you should be just fine.
