I planted a few autos and the rest of them are doing great, with the exception of this plant. Does that look like root rot? or some other ailment? overwatering? mold?

It's a dinafem white widow auto.

temps 75 humidity 35

roots organic soil

Not sure that it's an issue, but make sure you don't overwater your soil. overwatering is bad, mmmkay?

Looks like it may damp off on you...but if you can increase heat and airflow with plenty light now you may save it

I'm not sure what that is on there.. looks to just be a different pigment? What is all that black stuff on the root and leaf, the other autos are not like that.

I have 1 Dinafem WW Auto left. I will start to germinate it and replace this one. I just looked up Damping off... that does not sound good LOL

My next question is, can I reuse that soil? Can I just pluck that guy out and when my other WW germinates plant in the same soil?

i wouldnt reuse, if one plant already died from it i wouldnt take the chance of another.

that's exactly what it looks like. and that's exactly how i saved my last remaning seedling.

i brought in a space heater. took off the plastic wrap and let the lights dry out the soil. it bounced back after about 2 days. and is doing just fine right now.

I didn't get it enough heat, It withered and died. I have another seed germinating to replace.

This time around, I'll be very selective with how much I water the seedling. Just at the base by the soil, no spraying directly. Live n learn I guess :/

damp off will kill a seedling in under 24 hours.

do not use any humidity domes or plastic kling wrap. just water well place the seedling then cover then water again. done.. keep lights on and keep heat up so the soil dries at a good pace. by day 4 you should have it pop and be good to go.

You know sometimes shit just happens and despite your best efforts the little fukkers just fade away for no reason.

Don't take it personally, IMO better to get them out of the equation early on rather than try to coddle along a puny plant.
