hempwick

hey, what do you guys think about hempwick? I really like to use it when I smoke bongs but its so damn expensive and recently I ordered some hempwick from ganjamatters.com. I got the wick and its pretty decent especially at the 100 feett for 4 bucks price. have any of your ever tried the ganja matters hempwick or hempwick at all and do you like to use it?

I use it. I got a bunch free from a buddy and rolled it around a lighter. Been using that same lighter for nearly two years...

I don't use it all the time, but you can TOTALLY taste the difference between a bong hit lit with the wick, and a bong hit lit from a lighter. I didn't realize how much butane I could taste...

Its a pain to use it all the time, but when I'm hitting some strange, new, delicious looking weed then I'll use the wick to get the full flavor of it. Other than that the lighter is easier, IMO.

Also, if you wrap it around your lighter than its kinda like a grip. And people will ask wtf is that on your lighter, so conversation starter too...

At $4 for 100ft, I'd sell it to rubes for $4 for 10ft then keep some for myself...

thanks for the responses guys! i think its totally a hippy thing and most people who smoke could give two fucks if they use an organic ignition source. There is something to be said about using NATURAL things instead of consuming and fueling the unnecessary use of millions PLASTIC FUCKING LIGHTERS that end up as some type of horrible pollution. When you choose to buy and use lighters your just feeding that headless pig man from pink floyds the wall so he can keep making more fucking plastic shit and shipping it around the world destroying it in the process. Obviously, plastic lighters are like a fucking grain of sand on the beach when it comes to the amount of plastic and environmentally harmful products we consume regularly. I'm sorry for the rant, its just this abhorrent state of consciousnesses that most people live their lives in is absolutely grotesque and just fucking crazy. we need to stop destroying shit

I wrap a bunch of it around a lighter.

I've had the same lighter for a looooong time because of this, a white bic.

When I want to use it, I unwrap about 6 inches and light the end and light my smoke then shake the flame out. I pinch the smoking end of the wick with my fingers.

I was just having some fun with the whole "pink floyd pig man" making money off plastic because we use lighters. Hempwick users still use lighters, so I got a chuckle out of that post.

I used hempwick and did taste a difference but it wasn't enough for me to buy hempwick in addition to a lighter, take the time to wrap it around my lighter and I also didn't care for the additional ash.
