Hempy bucket grow using GH GO organic nutrients.

hey I'm planning on doing a small grow with 5 gallon hempy buckets and i want to use the organic line of general hydroponic nutrients. Does anyone know if the smell will become a problem in the bucket, and since the water just sits at the bottom of the bucket, what are the chances of fungus or mold building up in there. Do you think that if i kept a smaller reservoir, say a one inch deep versus two inches deep, and watered more often, daily instead of bi=daily, it would help with the problem? Anyone that can tell me about organic hydroponics would be really helpful right now, before I dish out the cash for something that is going to ruin my grow or stink me out of my house.

Hi kind sir, I use GO and in my experience you'll have quite the mess in there! the GO line is great! (in soil), though i do find it to be a bit hot when used per their instructions... visit jrpeters.com they have a new hydro line up that ive been using in dwc. the hydro herb formula is quite awesome @ 1 tsp per gal dont need cal/mg or any other snake oil.... here's their web page http://www.jrpeters.com/Products/Hydroponics/Buy-Hydroponics.html oh yea btw did i mention they are very inexpensive!!! VERY VERY VERY inexpensive! How many buckets are you going to be using? 10 or less? 1 lb dry should do you the entire grow!

GB, welcome, I am a noob myself but I can share my plants in Seed and veg states don't have to much of an odor but the end of veg and in flower Smell odor will present a problem if you don't plan ahead- Hempy buckets-well thats what brought me to your thread, I am trying to figure out which Hydro method and hempy is up there, probably can find more info on that in Hydro section which is my next stop. :) Happy growing to all :)

thanks alot hobart, i think i'll be staying away from the GO line until i decide to go back to soil. I checked out Jack's stuff,I like the prices =). Is the herb formula still suitable during the flowering phase? it is 16-4-17, so should i get a different formula for the flowering phase?
