here are my aurora plants, under cfl 5000k bulbs each plant has its own light for now, what i wanna know, if any experienced growers can shed some info for me, will the stretch it has on it now be an issue at this rate, they arent even 2 weeks old yet

that would be 23Watt bulbs then? i havent used CFL before but i bet theres no heat off them is there? if so lower them as far as you can to stop them stretching that much

yeah theres not very much heat at all except at the base of the light its self. if u touch it, its hot, but other than that its just extremely bright and yes thats correct wattage u mentioned

thats hydroton in bubble buckets with net pots, if it gets too bad ill get a deeper pot and bury it deeper, i just dont want them to eventually tip over u know

agree - put the lights almost on top of the leaves (maybe 2-3" with 23W). don't forget to raise lights as plants grow. GL

Bury the plants up to the top of the plant the next time you transplant, and then add more light in the meantime. That is how you can deal with seedlings that have a lot of stretch.

thanks, i was thinking 5 inch pots here pretty soon, theyre in 3 inch pots now, may crop the metal housing around the lamps and add additional bulbs onto each lamp, so there is more of them on one plant
