This is what I'm thinking aswell, I've been reading about people saying that these 'claws' are early signs of male sex. Well if anyone else would like to confirm (or deny), I'd be very happy. Thanks guys

it looks a lot more male than female, but looks even more like the start of a new shoot. none of my females or males look anything like that little 'claw' you have there

My man, it's a male. You don't need anyone else to tell you. Trust me, you can bet the farm on it.:peace:

It's not the start of a new shoot. Keep this thread handy bro so you can reference back to it later. This way you won't have to start another new thread asking if yours is a male or female. I'm being serious, not trying to be nasty at all.:peace:

i am already sexing mine atm. and i can tell the difference with all my plants. the 'balls' on my males actually resemble balls, not claws

Antman...how you know?

just curious...

are you saying these are early signs of it becoming a male?
No problem bro, the only dumb question is the one that wasn't asked. I know because first off I've seen them a hundred times on my own plants. But before I knew what a male and a female pre-flower looked like, I went to the "growfaqs" on a site that was closed down called "Overgrow" and looked for the info. Try this out and you'll see what I mean. Go to the top of the page and click on "Growfaqs", then click on #2"How to grow", then click on "Sexing", then click on the very first one at the top "What does a pre-flower look like". Scroll down to see the pics of a female calyx first, with the pistils sticking out, and then further down there are pics of the male staminate. The growfaqs are filled with great info like this. Ppl just have to take the time to go look for it. Good luck with all your future grows my man.:peace:

Just to confirm, this was a male plant. I put it in flowering and after about a week they turned to balls. So now you know:)
