Yeah im hopeing shell make it a few more weeks. 2 more weeks will actually put her right at my original harvest date time frame and id really like her to go that long. I actually have 2 more started in the tent right now (Bubblelicious and Sour Diesel Haze) with her but they r only like 2 weeks old right now so they arnt really anything to worry about.

awesome man, yea stay strong bro one of my biggest fuck ups as a beginner was always harvesting too early because im way too impatient or my jars were dry lol

I CHOPPED THE AKR!!!

When i got up this morning i checked on her and noticed that she had amber trics ALL OVER. I could see it with my plain ol sight!!! So i made the dessision to take her down tonight.

So far all looks good except.... a few fully opened and drying nut sacks... iv only found 2 so far but im guessing im about to have a fair ammount of Afghan Kush Ryder seeds on hand. I also have the Quick One in the tent so who knows if i just accidently pollented her to lol. maybe made my own crossbreed?!? not exactly sure how all the genectics break down in breeding so i guess we will find out.

Alright well thats done. Got her hanging up and on the drying process! damn she smells good to!!!

So now for the question of seeds... I know plants can herm for many different reasons and end up pollenting themselves. So a few questions...

1) Assuming shes full of seeds and that they are mature enough to be viable, will she produce a mixture of genetics like the break down of her 2 parents? or will they be auto AKRs?

Im also gonna guess and say she dusted my Quick One which is about half way threw flowering so im guessing that shes gonna have seeds to.

2) Assuming the Q1 has seeds will they be something worth holding on to and growing out or are they just random genetic crap?

3) I only counted 3 pollen sacks so it wasnt to bad but should i clean my tent to remove left over pollen?

Toss those seeds bro, they will more than likely express a high degree of individuals with intersex traits AKA MORE HERMIES.

1) since neither strain was really bred to homozygosity and not really stable for crossing the progeny would most likely be a pretty even mix of the 2 parents with some freaks here and there. but ill say again... MOST WILL LIKELY EXHIBIT INTERSEX TRAITS JUST LIKE DAD/MOM.

2)No, if they were made the ol fashioned way you might have a decent cross but these are hermie beans now bro lol

Yeah I dont want to be growing any junk and wasteing my time lol. Someday Ill work on my own cross but thatll probably be about 2-3yrs from now.

Thanks again for any and all info everyone has contributed! It definitly is very exciting to harvest for the first time!!! even if it might be full of seeds and probably about a 1/2oz yeild... IM STILL HAPPY WITH IT!

I still have the Quick One so she will be the focus now. Id say she still has around 3 weeks left. not sure tho shes kind of a finiky plant so well see where she goes.

Update for the Quick One!

Shes lookin a little ruff but honestly shes looked worse. She got a good watering and holy balls did she get frosty over night! I tried to give her a smell the other day and it was very disapointing till I smelled my fingers after touching a small bud... honestly the best citrus smell Iv ever smelled so Im hopeing that shell come around and finish out really strong.
I did notics a nice smell when I opened my tent to check on her so Im pretty confident that shell get there.

Her hairs a getting the slightest orange coloring now I can some very slight fox tailing beggining to start. Im hopeing after her next feed the rest of the bud will catch up and swell with the rest. She already looks like she has some pretty dense nugs so well see. Im thinking shell be ready some time between the 25th-9th unless she suprises me and finishes quicker.

Also the Afghan Kush Ryder is drying up nicely. I got her nugs jared up tonight so Ill begin to slowly work the RH down over the next few weeks and cure her. I tried a small nug from twords the bottom and damn! Its gonna be really good once its cured because what I tried really surprised me on flavor and intensity of the high.

Buddy I will let you in on a little secret. Forget the breeders time line. Yes you can grow it in that frame, but to grow good weed ya gotta let her go a bit longer. That AKR looked nice but in 2 more weeks she would have been killer and probably 20% - 25% heavier. Nice work though. patience my friend patience. It's one of the hardest growing tricks to learn...

Yeah I dont listen to breeder times lol Im going totally by the plant. The AKR was starting to herm plus she was just done. I probably could have let her go longer but I honestly belive that it wouldnt have been a good idea. She stopped growing at 9" tall and stayed small (I think this was due to constant heat stress for the first 2 weeks of her life under an HPS bulb) so it doesnt surprise me she finished so quick. I would have loved her to go longer but she had her own plans lol. I still got 5 more AKR seeds so Im also not worried about this first grow. This was really only to dial things in and see how my set up works out.

BUT I do plan on doing all 5 seeds of the AKR in one run here coming up in the next month or 2 (mini SOG?) so hopefully then Ill have a better run and pull some decent nugs!

Short update on the AKR bud. Total yeild after drying... 7.6g!!! Lmao just under a quarter but hey its something. I havnt noticed any thing that would say shes full of seeds (calyx dont look swoll, they look like normal dry bud) but in a few weeks Ill know for sure when I break her down and roll her up!

Gettin some color change in the leaves and the bud looks nice. I think she will be a pretty good harvest and yeild just over double the AKR (about a 1/2oz) maybe more. Her nugs look nice and dense so there is hope!

She got a feed yesterday night so I think shell get just water from here. Her trics are pretty milky to but still has some clear ones.

Very nice! Fuck that!! Push the nutes!! hahahaha shes still got another 2 weeksish right? Push them bro!!! trust me, more weight will more than make up for the (almost unnoticeable) slightly added harshness.... well IMO but I smoke a lot so... just my 0.02cents

Ill keep on the feed and see what she can do to the end. I smoke a lot to man! I dont mind a slight taste if any. Iv smoked some pretty swaggy shit before (a lot) so no worries on that lol. Id be pretty impressed if she goes another 2 weeks. Im guessing closer to a week and a half at the most. Unless getting a few more feeds in will help her push a couple days out!

Shes super light right now so Im going to give her a feed tonight. She has some good tric coverage on some of the smaller leaves. Im going to be watching her closely cuz the AKR started to turn amber REAL quick and id like to catch her right at about the same point as the AKR. Im also looking for more yellowing in some of the side branches. I might end up having to take the main cola and 2 of the side branches off and let the rest grow till its done. They arnt far behind but I think it would be a big enough gap that if I waited for all of it to be done and harvest at all of it at once, it would be a little late for what im looking for.

Very good smell to start. Once broken down its a stronger scent of grapefruite and kush with some sweet earthy tones (like cherry pie sweet if that makes any sense? Idk Lol). Very nice high. I smoke a good ammount and wasnt expecting this much from an auto to be honest. Its pretty strong but not too much that it becomes uncomfortable which is nice. And it lasts for eeeeevvvveeeerrrrrrrrr... Its a continuous, long, stoney high. very nice plant and hands down an instant favorite. Iv got fem. Afghan Kush beans (photo) in my next order because if these autos can produce bud like this... I cant wait to see what the full photo version can do!

Hey brotha your grows are looking good.
This girl here still has lots of white pistils coming in, I see some starting to turn brown and turn in.
I'm still new myself but one mistake I made was I would start looking at the trichs to soon. Are you checking the trichs on the sugar leaf ?

Honestly I look at both. I pay more attention to the bud but I cant say that I dont look at the leaves lol. Shes still got time tho still a good percentage of clear trics threw out her nugs.

The Quick one is doing good. Shes puttin on some more weight and plenty more frost, mostly in the lower branches. I fed her again tonight and Im going to continue to push her. So far i like what i see. She started out just as a freebie test seed that I really could have cared less for and I thought more than a few times she was dead lol. Shes really surprised me and totally passed what i thought I was going to grow.

I took a shit load of pictures of her tonight lol so Im posting the better ones. She has this slight color to her also... The camera doesnt pick it up (at least that i can see). She has a slight pinkish/lavender hue going on. Its trippy because its so soft but changes the look of her ten fold. Ill keep trying to get a pic of it and post it. Untill then heres some Quick One porn

You can try to make her color up more by dropping night temps to low 70's, and that can help.

Yeah shes got a very light purple color to some of the bud actually!

My temps lately have been from 68-75℉ so its in the range but a little more color would be sweet!

(colors cool but if you have to coax it out with low temps youll be sacrificing yield.)
