Just spotted some nanners a few minuites ago. plan to chop 8-18-12.I can cut off the buds they are on and have little risk of popping a sac open. I can try to pluck nanners off of buds. Is three weeks enough time for these pollen sacs to fill and burst on there own and seed the crop if left? I am pretty sure they are new.. I had examined closely day before yesterday and they were not visible at all then.I have heard when breeding to flower the males 3 weeks before the females...so i'm wondering if they can do much with 3 weeks to go.thanks in advance for any good advice.

If your growing just one plant i would pick the nanners off if your growing a few plants that are at different growth cycles like a new plant in flowering with that one i wouldnt do that. Just let it go it takes 6-8 weeks for the seeds to mature and turn into viable seeds. I would pick them off and leave it if its your only plant.

probably isn't a true hermi its just been stressed to self, pull out the nanners with tweezers and control them that way throught bloom you will be fine. remember there are three sexes if late in the bloom it's just trying to self, as a last ditch effort to reproduce. This happens when you push a strain as far as you can or if it experienced some enviromental or photo stress during bloom .

I had 4 plants go hermie on me the 2nd week into flower. I was heading out of town in a few months for a long while so I had no choice but to grow them out. I didn't pluck nanners or anything and occasionally saw pollen fall onto lower leaves but funny thing is I still haven't found a seed from any of those plants.... This happened a few years back as well. From personal experience not all hermies turn out bad, you still get bomb ass nug if grown right. But I've also had a hermie plant spread pollen and I did end up with a few seeds in my nugs, to be honest it wasn't a big deal I probably got a dozen or so seeds from each plant and have actually grown them out the seeds to have been decent plants.

I wouldn't worry too much.

I have a plant I just noticed banana's on today, not one or 2 probably 100 they just started but a couple have popped, no idea if their sterile but the damn thing was right next to a plant 33 days into flower and another thats 25 days into flower... better be sterile... I pulled the plant out of my room and into dark... it was 65 days in but very sativa don't know probably try n make oil with it.

thanks for your replies. I ended up deciding to pluck the nanners carefully. so far so good.they are all the same age, I'm keeping my fingers crossed. 14 days to go. If I find a seed starting to form I will just cut the whole thing early.

yeah it is never a big deal..and it takes 6-8 weeks for most strains to make mature seeds...so you might end up finding a few immature seeds when you chop, but with only a couple of weeks to start they won't even be hard when you chop...

Early seeds don't taste or burn any differently than the plant material...they are all soft and squishy and plant like.
