Hermie or will to survive?

I would like to ask the opinion of everyone on this subject. Its been a long time argument that a marijuana plant that bananas and pollinate itself in the middle or towards the end of the flowering phase is caused by stress to the plant.

The opposite side of the argument and has allegedly been proven that even under optimum conditions a plant will do this because it recognizes that there are no males and it hasn't been able to reproduce. So a 'survival' trait is triggered as it tries to pollinate itself.

Some people argue its genetics which also could make sense. The chances of getting a plant to sensimilia from a plant that has pollinated itself is almost impossible.

This has been a long time argument with many faces.

Some people even go as far as to say that TOO MUCH phosphorus and potassium in flowering will also cause this(but that falls into plant stress doesn't it? Just because your not burning it doesn't mean it isn't too much right?)

Opinions anyone? OR reccomendations on how to avoid this very common problem?

Just listen to what the plant is trying to tell you with its body language and feed accordingly.

it is possible... weather its stress or just a good maternal clock by the momma plant if a female banana pollinates a female stamen you get a feminized seed .regardless both ways its the plants natural response to reproduce

weather it thinks its gonna die of old age or chemical burn its trying to produce seeds so it can "continue its noble genetics"
