I am currently in my second week of flowering with about 16 plants and I just checked all my plants, since I am running all fem seeds for any signs of balls or bananas. I found about 5 balls on it yesterday and about 7 more today so I was just looking for a general consensus from everyone. Just background info....I have 3 of the plants that hermied (midnight kush) and 2 more seed of it but no trouble with the other two so far, so what do you think I should do? Kill it and enjoy a relatively stress free grow or maintain the herm and remove all male parts that show?

Hey BD,

Thats a pretty good question and one that is asked alot on here, including by me. I was given various opinions and decided to keep em going till their seeds matured and collected them. I have around 20 beans now from two very good quality bagseeds I grew out.

Since I had only two plants growing it was a pretty easy decision to keep em but if I had the number you have going I think I might isolate the hermie"s to collect some pollen to use for seed production that you may want to try in the future. If they are a true hermie than your seeds should be female because you have no male genes present.

Anyway, good luck with the grow.

Keep em green!!!

thanks for your input dude def giving you +rep for just responding to a question I have found in the time I have been a member here people have really started keeping to themselves or only answering questions for certain people. Anyways yeah I could put it in its own room but I dont know when the next time I will have a good location to grow at is so I will more than likely just chop it....it just smells so good its really hard to chop but i will probably have to

Since you're only 2 weeks in and it hermied I say its in the genes. Since those are hermies the next batch of seeds will lean even more to the hermie trait. Maybe you could create a potent hermie only strain (sounds funny).

Personally I'd cut off all balls until they get out of hand, then chop.

yeah that seems to be what I think we are going to do but I am just worried we will miss one plus I have dutch passion fem blueberry in there too which I am really paranoid about being a hermie because I read on this site there is about a 60% chance for it to hermie lol so I am really praying and crossing my fingers

In the end, it's what works for you. Thanks for the rep and let us know what happens.

check out these links, i bought this stuff and it worked for me, i had 6 plants and 3 hermied and i just kept on at it, at the end even though i did get a few seeds i ended up with 23 0z total dry, so i will never chop a hermie. the stuff cost £30( i guess us$50) dont get me wrong i went fuckin nuts when i found out about the hermieing but after reading theses links i chilled out and just went for it https://www.rollitup.org/seed-strain-reviews/182247-feminized-seeds-hermie-test-14-a.html and https://www.rollitup.org/advanced-marijuana-cultivation/139699-dutchmasters-reverse-study-hermies.html

if your plants have gone hermi and you keep them going to produce seed , then them seeds that you are going to let mature will also go hermi on you .
If you isolate the hermies and keep chopping the balls off them , once you start to do that say you chopped off 7 balls today , then tomorrow you will end up with 10 balls . The process will carry on like that .

I moved my hermies from my bud room to my atrium. They have been sitting in front of my sliding glass door for almost two weeks now. Sometimes I move them outside when the weather is nice.
The worry I have now is that when I first brought them out of artificial light, we were right at the solstice (12/12 in the real world). Now the days are creeping longer. I am worried that my plants will start reacting. So today I am going to start harvesting them one at a time. Starting with the most mature and letting the youngest stay alive a few more days.
I have read that indicas going hermie at the end of their life is not too uncommon. Most people would just let it roll. I have a progressive harvest going on, so I need to keep my bud room in top shape.

Female force hermied plants are the source for your seeds you already bought. That's how they are made. :) I'd take the hermie, grow it far away from your current plants, then you'll have seeds for a very long time to come. :) And before the next post below me says "OH GOD HERMIE SEEDS EQUALZ HERMIED PLANTZ LOLORZ", they dont, this is really how its done. :)

haha well thanks everyone for your opinions. A little update I just checked my plants and the original hermie didnt have any new balls today thankfully but one of the other midnight kush plants showed 2 balls today and one opened upon taking it off thankfully removed from the grow room. I found another strain hermied as well:wall:, it had one ball and it was world of seeds strawberry blue just incase anyone is growing it....of course it could be me but I dont think it is because all my other feminized seeds except for the 3 mentioned aren't hermieing....but anyways my solution since listening to everyone's opinions was to just start another room now deemed the "hermie room" so just in case the dutch passion blueberry decides to switch hit I can just toss it in with the strawberry blue and the 2 midnight kushs. I would definitely watch hermies with midnight kush though.:cuss::wink:
