Soo been out there doing my thing and haven't been keeping up with LED Tech. Anyone have some info on what the best out for the price currently or knowledge of anything that might be coming out in the future? Last I knew of the CXB 3590 DD 3500k was not quite out mainstream yet, but I'm sure thats outdated by now. Looking to finally get rid of all the HPS stuff I've been holding onto to save on the overall wattage of my rooms.

Thanks in advance.

Wazup McGak, how u been man? Yes led has evolved beyond the beloved cob.
Heres 2 premade fixtures that I'm using now that I like allot .
These are the HLG 96 Elites
20181226_012428.jpg This here beast is the Amare SolarBar-8 with its Prototype next to it & the Proto Elite in QB form next to that. 20181226_014526.jpg So Samsung 301b's & Oslon square series are used on the Amare & Lumileds are used on the 96's.
Some comp are starting to produce Horticultural diodes that make more sense then burple, based around white.
Hope alls well man, welcome back.

HLG-240h-54a.

Parallel or in this case, being one Array, direct wiring.

How are they getting away with selling each of these for $100 and the pre-built is $800? Seems like they are hoping people suck at math. $1920 is the cost of 12 units and 12 drivers, that makes 2400W of power. I still need to look over the PPDF readings to see if it really will replace everything. Currently I have 800W COB and 4000W HPS/MH. Might need more than that but Ill keep looking. Fun fact, my HPS puts on more weight than my DE HPS (both have new bulbs) but the overlay between the LED and HPS really brings the weight in. I think that the 2700K mixed with the 4000K really five an extra punch to the plants. Solid 4" diameter buds at the overlap.... where the others only have about 3" at best.

Very nice rig. You have a matching QB one with added reds to right? Haha and a COB one?
I like the spectrum on these babies.
Yep, got a assortment. Love the spectrum and they are little photon powerhouses. Took a spot reading today at 20" and was over 500 umoles in the center and 300 at the screen edge, and that's at 22 watts a square foot.

Yeah they r. I was surprised to see 4 of them covered a 4x4 well. My plants r stacking nice under them .

Ive been looking into some things and may end up just manufacturing my own light since they are all close to what Im looking for but the efficiency just isnt quite there. I sent out some quotes to a few places and after the holidays I should hear back on pricing. Im between the designs below. Anyone have a preference on whats listed? Its obviously modeled after the QB 288 V2 but I wanted more diodes on a given board and more even lighting.

I want 600W on each area for flower. This would be design one and two . It would output about 2.9 μmoles/joule at the board. This does make the price a bit more than the $0.5 per watt after its all said and done... But I mean its less than the HLG 360 or HLG 550 V2 and has 600W at the wall.

This will replace and out yield a 1khps with ease. Less than 500 bucks. Make 4 of them. Under 2 grand. Replace 4 1khps.

(12) Samsung F562b strips in 3k driven at 1111mA @23.95vdc
95vdc and (6) 96 Lm561c s6 diode sunboards in 27k driven at 1666mA @23.95vdc

Just a hair over 660 watts actual draw. I have (4) 120 diode red strips as well. 60 deep red and 60 HE photo reds driven at 60 watts. But I havent put em back on yet.

I get that, its not a bad idea to look into. $2k to get rid of 6k seems like a good deal. Im hoping that my option will come in at $350-$400 for 615W at the wall. This is also more efficient. That said Ill look into that tomorrow to see if its close.

Better order soon. Chinese new year is creeping up soon and those Asians do Not Work At All during the month long festivities.

Prices for both f series and H inFlux strips has already went up. And after the 1st tariff tax is going way up. I bought my H inFlux_L06 strips for 11 bucks each. I think. Now they are 18 or 19 bucks. Plus tariff tax. And after the 1st of january everything led wise that is shipped into the states will have an additional 12% tax. I believe its 12% but not 100% sure. On the 12%
