"Filial responsibility is a legal concept in which an adult child is financially responsible for their parents’ unpaid healthcare costs. Not all states have filial responsibility laws, and not all families are liable."

We smoked leaves and male plants and I got high. I remember the first time I got smoked a joint. There was an older boy that was a couple of years ahead of me in school. He was really quiet and usually wouldn't say anything to me, but one day on the way home from school he was walking past me and said "wanna smoke a joint?" I was under the impression at the time that pot was equal to heroin but I was so excited that he talked to me that I agreed. He was the school track star and very popular. We walked behind a big tree and he lit it up and told me to hold it in. I thought my lungs were going to explode! Everyone looked wierd to me and I was so high I was sick. I made a promise to God that if he let me live thru it I would never smoke again! Then I lost my religion... As a side note 15 years later we were married and we were very happy until he died of kidney disease in 1991. Happiest years of my life and a beautiful daughter and grandson to show for it.
I remember that shit too :hump: :bigjoint::dunce::eyesmoke::peace::joint:I had very similar if not the same experience with the males an 11 I had a bong in the school yard on weekend greened out it was serious shit older much older 18-19 smoking thought I could handle it ..
‘in those days you greened out you got crowned with the bowl an usually the bong water to go with luckily I didn’t but the threat was imminent :spew:o_O:mrgreen:

Don't think this is behind a paywall.
I remember appliances lasting forever but now I don't know. Seems like I hear friends complaining about failures 2 or 3 years after buying a expensive fridge, washer, etc.
Its everything not just appliances pretty much like for example look at buildings they used to be built to last idk about in america but over here in the uk most here are built now with a 35 yo lifespan in mind these days it seems nothings made to last

What a bunch of junk these companies are selling. No wonder these new landfills
are hundreds of ft. high . Stoves , fridges, coffee makers , water coolers , gas grills etc. When I bought a small cottage on the Finger Lakes, there was an old fridge that was left in the kitchen. It was built back in the 50's. The seals to the door were real rubber, supple as ever and it ran like a charm. After building a home where the cottage was, I needed a larger fridge with a freezer. I've thrown out two fridges and two ovens in last 15 yrs. Even if you spend a good chunk of cash , the product turns into a piece of shit. You can bet your ass that this shit is built to fail .

We just paid $2600 yesterday for a new water heater. How long do you think it will last? The old one was well over 20 years old.

While shopping for a new one we saw a "2 Year Warranty" on one...That was for a water heater in the house. It probably had a coffee can for a tank.

Let me get this straight. You were born around 1975 and when you were 14, around 1991 you met Bon Scott and he gave you your first joint. That must have been some good shit 'cos he died in 1980 when you were about 4. P.s. I genuinely did see DC. 1986 I think, Wembley Arena. Brian Johnson. Best concert ever. We had a choice between staying for the last track or getting the last train. We missed the train.

The post you quote is from 2012 if you redo the math he's about 10 years more which puts him right about 14 as he stated 12 years ago. Anyway I'm high so you may wish to check my math :eyesmoke:
