ive asked people same questions and what i got is 4x4 600 watts covers 4x4 and 1000 covers 5x5 cause im using a 1000 watt in 5x5 tent if i was doing a 10x10 room i wood do the 4 600 watt lights in it more light distribution and 600 gives better lumens per watt. there more efficent than 1000 watts. if you plan on moving to 10x10 i would get 4 600 watts but if your gonna just use 8x4 i would use 2 1000 cuz u would have better yeild cuz your over watt you need for sq footage. but at minium u deff need 2 600 for 8x4 tents. im new to growing but ive been researching alot and asking alot of people i know that grow. good luck.

This is all very helpful guys keep it up! Led's aernt for me. Too much of a risk factor and hid's have been proven over and over again. Not only with the product i get but the product that is grown under these bad boys is always prime if! you know what your doing and getting yourself into that is. Thanks Riu more will help going to hydro store today probably, and i really need to know about hoods im trying to get the largest cheapest hood i can get, I love cool tubes but the ones with the reflector wings like 3 inches hanging of the sides aernt gonna do it for me. I need something that will distribute a nice footprint downward but still nice spread with no waste of light. Thanks i know thats alot

I have always looked at i power. Do they have any warrentys on there products?

they got 2 year manfactures warrenty only down not bad for theprice and its dimmable
im super picky on the hood that comes with it, i dont know what to do im looking at some expensive hoods that are 35 inches and above and its clear to me that they would put off better footprints than the 6 inch cheaper hoods or cool tube reflectores

The sunsystems blockbuster hoods give a really uniform 4x4 footprint. I'm going to have two of them directly connected with 600w HIDs in each to cover a 4x6 area in a 4x8 tent. I will have 6 buckets in the 4x6 area and the other 2 ft will be for the controller and other stuff (setting up a RDWC UC). I'm limited to 6 plants with my MMJ grow. If I were to grow 8 plants using the whole 4x8 tent, I would have the two blockbuster hoods with a 1ft gap between them and running 1k lights.

Are you high....your post makes no sense

I say a minimum of 4 1000 watt lights for a 10x10.....I would run 6 Gavitas myself at 1150 per in a space that big

Buy Gavita 750/600's they are crushing for me. Ck out my journal for pics, just pulled some of the fattest nuggets I have grown in 20 years w them. Surprised no one else has mentioned them.
I was about to post "750w". Specifically created to have an option between 600 and 1000.
