I want to try an ebb flow 20 site. But without buying a control bucket. Can I get any help on how the make a good myself? Like which timers and pumps would work best..

No control bucket? Then you need to elevate the buckets off the ground, above the res and have a return line for the solution.

There are ways to make your own bucket by purchasing around 100 dollars in materials. Ive made around 8 total with no issues. If you are interested please let me know and i can send full instructions

Elevating the buckets will not result in a properly functioning system. If you want to avoid usong a controller bucket you will need a flood table high enough to place a resovoir underneath it to allow gravity to drain the table for you. Then a pump and overflow valve will do the rest

You can also run an elevated drip system. I do that in ebb and flow buckets in a big tray. That's for my veg room. Then they just get moved to the flowering rooms, where actual ebb and flow systems with controllers are. Works great.
