So its day 13 of the veg stage and i'm doing another update.

The girls are looking really well ( photos to follow ). But i have a couple of questions to ask, and if any1 could give guidance then that would be awsome.

I checked under the pots yesterday and i can see some roots already showing in my 7.5 liter pots.

Q1. When should i repot them in to the 15 liter pots.
Q2. What is the correct way to repot them.
Q3. Should i flush them before repotting.
Q4. How easy is it to repot them as they contain terracota pellets. ( dont want em to fall apart when i take em out ).

And any other info again would be great!

Thanks every1.

Hi yall.

I have just LST 16 of the girls and think it went quite well. I used wire stems, they look a bit like a horse shoe's. Anyway i did this by slowly easing the main stem left to right and back and forward's and finally up straight to a down position and when they were horizontal i used the stakes ( horse shoe's ) and bedded them in. I will take photo's of this tomorrow and also comment on how they do in the next couple of days.

Q1 when they are root bound in your current pots. they should have a mass of roots , squeeze your pots and if it all holds together you can repot

Q2 fill your new pot with medium and place one of your existing pots inside and fill around it. remove the template pot and take your girl and place your fingers around the base of the stem with your palm flat on your medium . tip upside down give a little tap and plant into your template hole.

Q3 you should regularly flush using coco. doesnt have to be done for transplanting.

Q4 should be easy if you let them get root bound.

also you can double pot and just cut the bottom off you existing pot and sit on top of new coco/pellets in your 11L pots this can increase yield so i am lead to believe. will be trying this at some point!

Thanks for the info jon lad i will defo do that.

Gave the girls there first flush today (day 15) as i have started to notice that some of the leaves have burnt tips, Think it was because of the nute lock. Anyway i put 15 liters of fluid through them so hopefully that should sort it, there is probably only 5-6 litres of medium in the pots. The girls are looking sweet tho with lots of growth and they are very bushy now.

They have also stood well to the LST i gave them.

Think im going to leave them in veg an extra week ( 4 week's in total ) so when i repot next weekend they have time to get used to the new pots and to grow some more. Thus giving more bud ( hopefully ). I have 15 liter ( 3 gallon ) pots that they are going in to next and i may up the size again in flower if i think they need more growing space, but i will cross that bridge when i come to it.

Thanks again for the info jon.

Oh yeah forgot to add before, Think i will be going to GROW2010 so will keep ya posted on that. ( work permitting )... Dan

just becarefull of the ballest they give off alot of heat I would put them out side the room if you can, you have a great set up you must have them temp undercontrol to have the ballest in the room

ideally you dont need to repot when in flower . my girl is in an 11L pot and she loves it. she is now around 3ft high. have just given her CANNA PK 13 14 as she is now in week 6 flower. i only veg'd her for 4 weeks and that was from seed to 12 12 change. will post more pics next weekend. 5 big budda uk blue cheese clones are settling in nicely. pics nxt weekend also

make sure you keep using veg nutes for a week into 12 12 change then switch to bloom. also with my girl i am using ionic bloom and ionic boost with CANNA PK 13 14.

Hey madmax thanks for the info. I have a climate control system that i have put in the room until it gets back to normal. before i put it in, the humidity was reading in the high 70's but that is back undercontrol to 55-60 now. I considered putting the ballast in another room to start but it meant i would have had to go through a wall so i just though i would keep them up high next to the carbon filter so it can suck some of the heat from them. It seems to work quite well, but i do keep a very close eye on every electrical bit of equipment. i.e any moisture or drips that might get on to it. Im going to invest in some electrical boxes too to cover the plugs in the room so it makes it safer. i was also thinking of putting up a fan near the ballast too, a small 1 of say 9" that just blows on to them, it might do them good but it also might blow moisture on to them so im undecided as yet.

Oh and thanks for the comment about the room. Im very mertiqulas when it comes to building anything..... ( Geek Boy ) and that.......lol

Hey jon yeah your prob right mate. i'm just over enthusiastic and the 15 liter pots there going into should be fine. But i am going to leave them in veg for 4 weeks as the research that i did on the LST gave me infomation saying that if i do the LST then it is preferred by most growers to leave an extra for the plants to grow a bit taller. I'm putting lots of photos of them on here tomorrow so you can have a look.

I never knew how fast cannabis plants grew, and am very supprised to see how big and bushy they have become in just 2 weeks. I am so looking forwads to them going in to flower now.

Peace out. "when i get low i get high"

tell me about it the BBC clones i have are in CANNA pro soil how i got given them in the same pots that i use too they havent needed watering yet and they have grown about 2 inches so far. ive had them from a 7 week old mother so have put them straight into 12 12 with veg nutes for a week then i will use CANNA FLORES and CANNA PK 13 14 for a quick harvest. i was hoping to get some downtime to redesign my room light position etc after i harvested my girl but the BBC were free off a mate ( aww well i'll have to wait 7weeks longer than planned )

if you get built up salts it will send your run off ph out of whack.. if you aren't testing ppm you should be testing your run off. if you ph your water at 6 then your runoff can have a little fluctuation in either direction 5.7-6.3 this is apparently good for the girls.

if you dont test your runoff you will never spot any problems before they turn into major problems .
