Hi guys, I'm a first time grower and in need of some help pleaseee

i planted my new purchased seeds 3 weeks ago. I used rockwool to get me started.
First thing I did wrong was over water as I had the rockwool sitting flat on a plastic lid so I had no drainage. When the first set of true leaves came up I transplanted. I noticed that the root was coming through the bottom of the rockwool and started to grow sideways as I had the plastic lid under..
I transplanted into canna clay balls 18l air pots, then the next day I removed and filled my pot with 1/3 clay balls then the rest with canna coco. I did rinse the clay balls overnight in 5.5 ph tap water. Unfortunately I did not do the same with the coco.
The leaves were a bit yellow and dropping. Then last week I fed them with the recommended nutes after not watering for 3 days. That's when it all went down hill, I noticed the tips were becoming burnt and crispy whiteish. I then flushed with just a tiny bit of canna root stimulator and ph 5.5 water till I had some run off.
The prob seemed to get worse in the last couple of days, I haven't watered since that flush 4days ago. The leaves are not dropping anymore but are developing burn spots on leaves.
I have searched the net and can't seem to find the exact symptoms I have.
The photos make them seem healthy green, in fact they are actually pale green/yellow.
Can someone help me before I make things worse..please, cheers.

Top plant looks like ph issue. Bottom looks ok, maybe just a little nute burn.

Yeah I'm ready to give up on them and start over. At least I learnt a lot, shame they not doing so well, I paid decent coin for them too..

Yea, give em a chance. My childhood sucked and I turned out ok lol

In had PH problems and my seedlings were looking just like you're top pic, in had problems until the 4th node or so, but I kept reading and doing the right things . now look at them at about 5 weeks, doing pretty good now and getting ready to plant in the greenhouse

you will be surprise with their recovering capabilities. I pronounced my grow dead months ago, today u wouldn't believe! Be carefully w nutes this things hurt and water as well. Well said, today is plain water day, they r begging 4 water and I lov it! lol

This (and other forms) are a great resource for information, and the RIU community has been a great help for me from start to finish whenever something has come up. You have a support system here man.

You can love your plants TOO much, just let them be plants and you'll be good man.

These plants can be more forgiving than any person you know i promise (Or as hateful as anything you know depending on your love for them). As along as you watch them and give them what they ask for. The plants will let you know their needs and as you grow you will find that you will see them plain and simple. I do believe in the K.I.S.S. method.

Growth is slow but have a clear second node now. I have one other question, like I said my growing medium is bottom 1/3 is Cana clay balls then I have the coco on top of it. So my question is how often do I water?
I ask cause I watched some dude on u tube and he said not to treat your coco like soil (wait till top inch dries out then water). He suggested to water everyday as a minimum in veg, this allowed the plant to get a constant supply of fresh oxygen and nutes and that was the difference between soil v hydro. He did say not to water every day when there babies tho.
I always keep a strict PH of 5.5/5.7, so I don't know how it could be a ph issue, damn I wish I could get rid of this yellow and have a healthy green,, would just make my life happy once again.

Nice lady's you have there bro.
I just don't know why it would be ph, cause I'm testing retesting the ph before I water at 5.5/5.7.
I will keep on reaserching till I get to the bottom of this.

Have you check runoff ph?
When I first started I went straight for coco...I was always over watering my seedlings...best to do the lift method. You simply lift the container and if it's heavy, don't water, if it's a little lighter than it should be, give it a drink.

Little ladies can only drink so much and even in a solo cup watering a small seedling daily is too much.

Hey Simply slide, no I've never tested the runoff ph. I will today for sure, what do I do in I'm feeding 5.5ph but am getting 7.5ph runoff? Do I just keep flushing till both the top feed and runoff are in line with the same ph readings?
I'm glad I found this site and more importantly you guys for support, honestly I didn't think I would get a response from my post. So thanks again..
Will post some pics of my babies in a couple of days so you can see how they doing.

Its a rookie mistake, dont beat urself up.
Just give them water and lots of cfl she be ahait..

@Billyboii just like @hellmutt bones said. Just keep giving only water for your "feedings" they don't really require to much nutes in the beginning. Your ph difference at runoff would mean you have a build up of nutes, runoff isn't too important but if you did a good flush of the coco before use it wouldn't be to big of a fluctuation.
