All Lights generate heat, again What is your plan for handling the heat?

Until you have a plan to deal with the heat talking about feminized seeds and soil is a useless endeavor.

Do something along these lines. A vented hood is a must in a closet. (Big Buck will argue this, but he grow in an elevator shaft)

Great looking plant bonzi LOL just messin w you (i know it was done in somethin like paintbrush in like 2 seconds haha) +rep for your diagram.....and to the person growing in the closet MATMAN......the diagram bonzi drew for you will work very well and is very efficient in that kind of grow space to keep it ventilated well :)

Yep I am living proof of that. I run a 400w HPS a for flower and 8 - 2' T5's for veg, all in a 2x2x8 cabinet sealed in a closet. I have my temps at sub 80*F. You just have to move the right amount of Air to keep your room cool. This is why I harp on so many people about how they are going to handle heat. you can put a 1000w in a 2x2x2 cooler if you vent it properly. Riddleme posted a great chart on CFMs required for different watt bulbs. I have the chart but I am off my network now.

Oh and if you want to learn about cooling cabinets do smoe reasearch on data center servers and how they keep their racks cool, massive amounts of air.

If you have the plants already germinated, you can veg under a T5 while you're sorting out your heat issue since the T5 won't generate much heat.

Definitely don't leave your girls in there until you've tested the setup with lights on for a couple hours and monitored your heat.

Always dry-run your room. If it maintains the temp/humidity that you want with no plants in there, then you're ready to put the girls in there.
