High Times LED GROW LIGHT

I don't doubt that the 2nd and 3rd Generation LED's can create a good setup but....

Can anyone afford to buy them?

I've been doing a lot or research on these LED lights and came across an article in HighTimes.

They did a side by side grow:
1-HPS next to LED
2-MS next to LED
3-CFL next to LED

Although the type of LED they used at the time was 2nd Generation LED Tech, they said that LED's take 1 week longer to flower but yield 12% more bud!

My question is Has anyone tried the 3rd Generation triple light spectrum (blue white, red ), or any LED 's?
Couldn't the reason for the extra 12% in bud have something to do with the extra week to yield? If you grow weed slower, doesn't it normally yield more?

Should you then flower for even more weeks with a traditional light? For more yield?
I'm not sure to be honest... I'm just finishing setting up for my first grow. I thought I had read somewhere that if you rush through the flower phase you can do it, but you'll get less than if you take your time and grow slow. It just seems like it may have been an unfair experiment.. who knows though until you try it!

I have this same issue, I think it came out last month. But a lot of people have been saying its soo stupid and inefficient to use led grow lights, but the article shows you can definitely grow good bud with them. Ive been doing a little research on this because I thought it was too good to be true; think about a grow room without heat proplems, and without electric bill problems, and its supposably grows better bud!? my only reaction was, wow. Ive read some forms where some guys were getting some pretty decent yeilds using only leds on numerous occasions, yet led growing is always "pushed to the side". I do understand why though, they're expensive as $hiit.
